Thank you to all the sweeties who have came to our classes, workshops, events over the years and the wonderful teachers who hold down the space. We’re very grateful to be able to operate in the way we do and keep things small :3

Spring is here, which is as good a time as any to get out and refine your routine. 🌱

Yoga teachers - like DJs - are not hard to find in Berlin, but there are a few who really stand out and leave an impression. It’s great that everyone is giving it a go, but when I go to a yoga class, I want a good one: someone who can hold the space and knows what they’re doing.

I’m lucky enough to have found a few of them, and I wanted to share them with you. There will be more that I don’t know yet, but when I find them, I’ll tell you.

For now, here is a list of the top teachers who have left an impression on me and will leave you feeling like you got what you came for.

Visit their profiles to find when and where they teach.

Xx,
Manolo

On Sunday, March 15th, we created a space I wish I had years ago.

An intimate gathering for women navigating cancer
as patients, caregivers, or in the aftermath.

9 women. Different stories.
One shared need: to be seen, heard, and not have to be strong.

We began with tea.
Then breath, sound, and a moment to pause.

Afterwards, we opened a space to share
and one by one, women slowly began to open up.

This is why Her Body, Her Mind exists.

A special thank you to dear @withsaura for holding this space with such care, for sharing her story and guiding us through breath and sound so gently. 🤍

Stay tuned for the next gathering. We’ll be exploring more creative, expressive ways to support the nervous system.

Preparing for our Sunday gathering ✨

This space is for women* who need a moment to pause, breathe and reconnect with themselves.

Through gentle breathwork, restorative sound and shared presence, we’ll create a soft space for rest and grounding.

If you or someone you love has been navigating cancer, you’re warmly welcome.

Over the past few months, I've been quietly sitting with a question: What would have helped me when I was caring for my mom?

I remember the nights I tried to meditate with her before sleep. Sometimes she was open. Sometimes she was too tired to hear one more tip about what might help. And I remember feeling so helpless — wanting to do more, be more, offer more.
I've spent months since then listening to women navigating cancer and recovery — patients and caregivers both. And what I keep hearing, underneath everything, is the same thing I felt back then:

We need more than medicine. We need space. To feel. To be heard. To not have to stay strong.
So slowly, thoughtfully, we started building it.

✦ Come As you are is an open space for anyone touched by cancer: those who've lived it, those who've cared, those still carrying it.

We begin with tea and a gentle arrival. From there: guided meditation, breathwork, and a restorative gong bath. Then, if you feel called — space to share your story.

No advice. No pressure. Just presence.
This is for you if you've ever felt like a burden for struggling. If you've watched someone you love suffer and didn't know how to help. If you're still learning how to grieve, heal, or simply breathe again.

You don't have to carry this alone. 🤍

Gabor Maté’s view that chronic stress and emotional suppression play a central role in cancer is powerful and resonates with many personal stories. His emphasis on compassion and emotional honesty has helped countless people make sense of suffering.

But when we look closely at the evidence, a different picture emerges, as shown in this post.

For the title of this post, we are grateful to be able to present a photo by Klaudia Lewi @dearklaude for and with Tara Community @tararetreats.

The image shown is part of her BODYTALK series. “BODYTALK translates the silent language of the body into a profound reflection of the self. The series uncovers our subtle attraction to natural objects, revealing the link between the physical world and inner perception.“

@dearklaude is a multidisciplinary artist and photographer who explores the psychological boundaries of space by examining the interplay between the body, objects, and their environment. Through her work, she highlights the unique essence of each subject, creating a “portrait of the psyche” that brings the surrounding space to life.

Emotional support is essential for persons with cancer and can directly affect the disease course, as shown in this post.

We are happy to announce a new and very careful format for persons with cancer by @herbody.hermind and @withsaura, starting at @svera.studio on March 15th, a space to share and reflect, created by two women that have been affected by cancer themselves.

How do you view the relationship between emotional life and physical illness?
We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
