Various works from the stellar mind of @wjp___ - while his designs stretch the form of functional tools and objects to their logical extremes (turning bubble levels into seatbacks, for instance), he makes sure that they always retain their original utility. I always appreciate when physically engaging w an artist/designer's works subverts the expectations you build off their social media.

Intentional yes or no

Most shockingly impressive thing I ate this time in Seoul. The arugula sorbet @crazyforkatsu ...

@hakmazing in front of a selection of his inspiring creations. We're a few years apart but I could immediately tell we draw inspiration from the same sources so I had to visit his studio. RPGs, sci-fi fantasy cartoons, vinyl figurines, and - most importantly - learning as much as you can about the rules just so you can prove you COULD follow them but you choose not to bc the results are not only better but more fun that way.

@kaws jumped into town to install a buncha new work at @spacek_korea - BK neighborhood committee showed up @missinfo @sharon2miami as did young mastermind @gyuhan_lee ! Congratulations, Brian!

Took Chuck and Liz to @root_anguk for their anniversary dinner. Mom says it is a miracle her brain isn't lumpy chowder after 42 years. Dad says he is lucky mom hasn't thrown him off a cliff (in Ireland, weirdly/specifically) yet.

PU-T-B Work Chair + Chair - Structure as a fastening system. 🔩

The PU-T-B Chairs are built around PU-T-B (PU-Tube-Bolt) structural system, which uses the tension and compression created when a polyurethane tube is fastened with a bolt. Rather than concealing the connection, the system becomes the defining visual and structural element of the chair, translating forces and load paths into a clear construction language. Designed for office and workshop environments, the swivel chair applies the PU-T-B system at furniture scale, using the elasticity, durability and frictional properties of TPU to create stable connections without complex joints.

The de-goose chair reimagines the gooseneck as the defining element of a chair. Usually hidden inside lamps or tools, the flexible structure is brought forward to shape both form and function. Its curved line becomes the chair’s identity.

In this chair iteration, the gooseneck acts as backrest and armrest, bending and responding to the body as you sit and lean. The tension you feel is part of the experience, turning the chair into an active structure rather than a static object.
