I have heard so much about fraternities and sororities in the last year that I have made up my mind that when God convicts people it is a personal call not a conference call. That’s my stance and I’m sticking to it. I have seen people lean to their own understanding and others have leaned on the side of personal convictions.

I applaud @travisgreenetv for be HOT (Honest, Open, Transparent) about his personal convictions about the fraternal bond however God has not convicted me about my brotherhood, so I will continue to love Jesus and support my brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi. I will personally continue to Achieve in every field of human endeavor through the love and teachings of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Have you ever watched somebody worship and thought, I want what they have?

That was Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell at about 24. His girlfriend, now his wife, came home and put on gospel music, the first he had ever heard. “Whatever that was, I wanted that for myself.”

He crawled into a bathroom and started yelling at God. “God saved me in that bathroom.”

We may all be going through something… whether it’s known or unknown.

My bro Will said something that stuck with me: it can become our coffin or our classroom. And in this season, we’re choosing the classroom.

So I’ll say this now and say it loud…
If it’s harming you, corrupting your mindset, making you question your worth, or pulling you away from who God says you are… remove it.

I have good days. Great days. And days where doubt creeps in. But through all of it, I choose God.

That doesn’t mean it’s always easy. It doesn’t mean I always feel strong. It doesn’t mean I always have a praise ready. It just means I know where I’m turning.

In this season, I’m holding tight to John 16:33: “In me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Whatever this season is trying to teach me… I’m listening.

Church family, let me talk to us for a minute.

“A lot of times in church it has become a place of perfection, or at least pretentious, pretending perfection.”

Jesus gave His disciples a new commandment and they thought, we can do that. Then He said love them like I loved you, and that’s where it got hard.

He always went to the broken hearted. He didn’t just talk about the broken heart, He created a solution.

Love them like He loved you. Love you, Moore. ❤️

Family, Avery*Sunshine told me about the day she got as low as she could go, her face on a cool linoleum floor.

Then she got up. Sent her children to her mom. Left everything behind, even the piano.

“This is not what God wants for me.”

Family, there’s a difference between fighting FOR your marriage and fighting IN it.

Fighting in it is answering everything they say while they answer everything you say, and nobody ever gets to the root.

Fighting for it is going back to the foundation, looking honestly at the damage, and owning the part you played.

And listen, it’s hard to do what you say you want to do. I tell myself 5am and I still hit snooze. So why would we try to change somebody else by fighting them?

Become the change you want to see in that person. And if you can’t do that for the sake of the relationship, maybe it’s time for the relationship to change.
