Holders #Billericay Town face a tricky away tie at neighbours #Brentwood Town as they begin their defence of the BBC #EssexSeniorCup, with the draw for the Third Round being broadcast by the competition’s supporters this evening.

Step Six club #Basildon Town’s reward for causing a BBC #EssexSeniorCup upset at home against Buckhurst Hill is a Second Round tie at #Stansted after the draw was broadcast by the competition’s supporters this evening.

Town, who compete in the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League First Division South, progressed through Round One thanks to a solitary Lucas Wilison strike - plus a late Dino Maras penalty save - to defeat Buckhurst Hill of the Isthmian League North Division, two steps higher. Another win for Basildon or Stansted would propel them further into Round Three, where they’d join #Essex’s senior teams from the #EFL through to Step Four of the pyramid. Read more on our website

We had the pleasure of welcoming @wmuggleton and @rhiannakaylax from @bbcessex aboard for a chat about our row! 🚣 We gave them a tour of our boat, shared some stories, and even got Warren on the oars for a bit!

It was great chatting to you and well done for getting out on the water - we hope you enjoyed the experience as much as we did. Thanks for coming along!
