Introducing Joanna:

“During my time as a resident in Tsarino I began to talk with the turtles.
I was drawn to the abundance of materials and the dialogue between man made interventions and nature.
Carving stone, stacking bricks and working with wood and fabric to create installations that are site specific to Tsarino.
My work began to create parallels between geological process and artistic gesture. Emboding my own artist transformation and renewal.
Ultimately I think my turtle friends approved.”

“По време на престоя си като артист в Царино започнах да разговарям с костенурките.
Бях привлечена от изобилието на материали и от диалога между човешките намеси и природата.
Работих с камък, редях тухли и работих с дърво и плат, за да създам инсталации, специфични за Царино.
Постепенно работата ми започна да изгражда паралели между геоложките процеси и художествения жест, въплъщавайки собствената ми трансформация и обновление като артист.
В крайна сметка мисля, че приятелите ми костенурки одобриха резултата.”

Step into the periphery for a night of music and visual art united in a shared language of hybridity—created in solidarity with Palestine 🇵🇸

Sculpture, film, and DJ sets intertwine to turn the periphery into a creative engine, transforming resistance into powerful sonic and visual forms.

Grab an early ticket to catch the film screening from 8–9 PM, followed by an outstanding DJ lineup bringing Venue MOT to life: Provhat, Seksu, Mahnoor, Sunayah, and Sizer. Expect global club sounds—from Arab rap and afrohouse to baile funk, techno, and more.

All profits will be donated to War Child, who are in the middle of their largest humanitarian response in Gaza and are delivering vital emergency aid and mental health support to children and their families.

4th December | 20:00-2:00 | Venue MOT

REPOST: At Somerset House’s 25th Birthday Weekend, we are also be presenting an exhibition, Along More Latent Lines, which brings together new and recent works by the core team at KitMapper, marking the first time these staff members have exhibited together. The exhibition offers a collective reflection on signal, systems, and slippage. Created by KitMapper staff, whose daily work supports artists and exhibitions across the UK, these pieces are a testament to porous space between production and practice.

The weekend will be filled with a diverse programme of free, family-friendly events, installations, performances, and workshops, highlighting the rich creative community of Somerset House residents and giving the public a rare glimpse behind the scenes of artist studios and lesser-known spaces like The Deadhouse and Maker Street.

We are proud to be a resident at @somersethouse and honoured to be a preferred supplier for projects across Somerset House’s extraordinary creative programme.
