Happy earth day frendz. What started as a fun little meme track for earth day ended up transforming itself into a whole freakin' thing. I had a blast putting all of these pieces together, and I hope it brings you a little moment of joy and appreciation for the world that supports us all in a time that feels a bit scary and uncertain for most. I love you guys 💕🌻🌞🌻💕

time • for years and years i’ve produced electronic music. i remember when i first came across a skream @bbcradio1 mix sometime around 2010 and i was hooked into the sound. i went out to radioshack (rip i think) and bought a pair of bass boosted headphones because i wanted to really experience the sound. there was something about deep, heavy, bass music that grabbed me and still hasn’t let go. when my family split up, i buried myself in my hobbies. photography and music were coping mechanisms that inevitably became pieces of my personality. through the years since then i’ve experimented with recreating the sounds that i’ve come to love and feel safe with. the thing i began to realize, though, was that the music i was making never left my computer. it was almost a like a diary in a way. a diary attached to a dream of some day reaching a level of confidence where i would feel comfortable enough to share what was written inside. it took a lot of practice, and years of self-talk and reprogramming, but i feel that i’m finally arriving at that place. conversations with friends and studying artists who i admire has opened me up and helped me to realize that no piece of work is ever truly complete. at this moment i don’t know that there is a clear defining line of when something is “done”. and for a while, the perfectionist / obsessive tendencies that i have - wouldn’t allow me to see that. our imperfections and oddities are what make us all special, and i think that’s pretty cool.

shortly after our wedding ceremony, i surprised Dan with this "summit" sign. we did it💥! little did i know at the time, but our actual, physical summits were about to become less frequent. having a baby, COVID, job loss and more threw plenty our way in our first year of marriage. we didn't get married on top of a mountain, and we haven't stood on top of a pile of rocks much since that day, but the view from here is just as beautiful and meaningful. here's to finding adventure in the everyday ⚡️, regardless of how high the peak. happy ✌️ anniversary. 📸 @wolfingtons
