We are thrilled to share that John Fairbairn and Molly Durand have been nominated for Best Duo Acting in 4 LONG YEARS at the London Night Film Festival 2026! This little film rests on the relationship between Marsha and Leo, so having their work together recognized in this way feels especially meaningful. Director David DeSantos and producer Megan Raitano guided Molly with the script and throughout the shoot, always keeping the focus on the relationship rather than the political opinion. David carried that into his work with the actors. Molly recalls him giving her one simple note: “Now save his life.” It grounded her as Marsha and brought her straight back to the love for her brother underneath everything else. John was game for anything, and his commitment, heart, and focus were felt throughout the entire shoot. It’s rare to work with an actor’s director who knows exactly what to say to get the most honest performances, and David did that beautifully. Huge thank you to everyone who helped bring 4 LONG YEARS to life. 🖤 Directed by David DeSantos Written & Produced by Molly Durand Director of Photography Zach Dalton Producer Megan Raitano John Fairbairn as Leo Molly Durand as Marsha A Wolfpact Production Thank you @london.nff 🖤 Winners announced October 22 in London!

🎬 DIRECTOR SPOTLIGHT 🎬 Spotlight on our beloved director @iamdaviddesantos. David DeSantos brings decades of experience across film, television, and stage, with a deep respect for the craft of storytelling and a rare ability to guide actors toward truth. His work is precise, grounded, emotionally honest & always in service of the story/relationship. On 4 Long Years, David’s presence kept the work focused and clear. He helped distill the script down to its emotional core and guided the film toward the truth it was asking to tell. About David DeSantos: An American actor, director, and acting teacher, David is known for his work on Pretty Little Liars, Ray Donovan, Torchwood, House, CSI, S.W.A.T., and Days of Our Lives. His stage work includes Othello, Hamlet, Paradise Lost, and Macbeth (directed by Larry Carpenter). He starred in a dramatized production of Hamlet that received a Grammy nomination for Best Spoken Word/Audiobook. David has worked at leading regional theatres, including a three-year tenure with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and collaborates regularly with Tony Award–winning directors. In addition to his work on screen and stage, he coaches actors privately and serves as a master teacher at the acclaimed BGB Studio @bgbstudio

🎬 NEW REVIEW: “4 Long Years” by Take2 Indie Review Written by Katie Chew • October 13, 2025 We are floored by this well crafted review by Katie Chem and @take2indiereview withJeana Reilly at the helm as Publisher/Editor. They not only got what we were trying to do but added constructive insight which we feel is absolutely invaluable. She gives some pretty incredible mentions to our cast and crew. Here are her direct words: “DeSantos and cinematographer Zachariah Dalton work together to build a beautifully composed film.” “Fairbairn and Durand, both solid performers, are strongest when they’re playing up their shared history, finding each other’s weaknesses as only siblings can.” “The film’s script, written by Durand, captures the sweeping emotions and lingering resentments that can emerge during conflict with siblings.” “Durand also provides original music for the film alongside her band Lyra & The Light. Used sparingly and very effectively…” It’s incredible feeling just to have someone watch your film let alone review it with such thoughtfulness and insight. Thank you so much, Katie Chew and @take2indiereview, for seeing 4 Long Years so deeply. You even picked up on the blocking being a metaphor 🙌 #4LongYears #ShortFilm #FilmReview #IndieFilm #Take2IndieReview #WolfPackProductions #MollyDurand #JohnFairbairn #DavidDeSantos #ZachariahDalton #MeganRaitano #LyraAndTheLight

✨ ACTOR FEATURE - JOHN FAIRBAIRN ✨ We are beyond lucky to have John Fairbairn as our lead actor in 4 Long Years, playing Leo with such authenticity and heart. John is an all-around artist, a visionary, pioneer, entrepreneur, actor, writer, and the founder of It’s All Good Creations, a high-end custom woodshop for residential and commercial projects. We actually filmed much of 4 Long Years in his shop, which became our home base. Without John’s generosity, encouragement, and commitment, this film simply would not exist. John didn’t just step into the role, he rehearsed with Molly for weeks, helping shape and edit the script to further bring Leo’s voice to life. With roots in comedy and sketch he was excited to dive deeper with this role. John’s creative life is beautifully intertwined with his wife, Alana Grace (also an accomplished actor/writer/musician, and our scripty for the project) have created sketches, films, and a creative life together. Their artistry as a couple is inspiring, and we can’t wait to feature Alana soon. As an actor, John’s credits span film, TV, and commercials. He is known for The Strangers We Know (2019), Bart Seven Is Offline (2013), The Heather Files (2013), Routes (2015), Happiest Birthday (2015), I’m Doyle Spitz! (2015), Hot Box (2014), Use Only as Directed (2014), Anonymously Speaking (2014), Poor Joey (2013), Diapause (2013), Making Change (2012), Cheerbleeders (2008), Last Stand of the 300 (2007), Enemy Closer (2006), and Hell House. Most recently, he appeared in BetMGM – I’m at MGM (2024) and The Committee (post-production). We are so grateful to John, for his talent, his artistry, his space, and his spirit. This film would not be here without him. ✨ Thank you, John. ✨ #4LongYears #WolfpactProductions #JohnFairbairn #ItsAllGoodCreations #IndependentFilm #ArtistSpotlight #johnfairbairn

✨MUSIC PLACEMENT FEATURE✨ Wolfpact Productions and 4 Long Years are proud to feature Lyra & The Light in our film. This original song, written by David Drake & Molly Durand and recorded at Snagglehouse Studios in Burbank, CA, brings an Americana spirit that perfectly deepens the story of siblings divided and reunited. Known for their cinematic alt-rock (their music has already featured in another film), Lyra & The Light are preparing to release a double debut album in January 2026. The first of the double album will be DUSK an expansive, versatile collection of music designed to conjure powerful, visual worlds. This particular track reveals their range, bridging folk-roots storytelling with the emotional resonance that made them the perfect fit for our film. We’re honored to share this live version with you, and grateful to collaborate with such a visionary band. #4LongYears #WolfpactProductions #LyraAndTheLight #Americana #AltRock #CinematicMusic #shortfilm #musicinfilm

Marsha & Leo, twins reunite 4 years after the 2025 election the day after their Fathers funeral ….We live in a political society, everything is run by politics. To ignore it altogether is like burying your head in the sand. But it’s just as corrosive to swing into extremism and disregard anyone who doesn’t agree with you. These tensions don’t just fracture nations, they fracture families. 4 Long Years dives into that reality, asking what happens when political divisions become stand-ins for the deeper issues we don’t want to confront. What’s NOT being said? What’s NOT being dealt with? I’m also honored to share that 4 Long Years has been named a Quarterfinalist at the ONIROS Awards in New York and at the New York International Film Awards (NYFA). Huge thanks to both festivals for recognizing our work and for supporting independent film. #shortfilm #4longyears Directed by @iamdaviddesantos

Spotlight on our producer @meganraitano today! Megan Raitano is a Los Angeles-based actor, director, writer, and producer of theater and film. She bopped around in medicine, law, libraries, real estate, and screen-printing before realizing that she wouldn’t be happy unless she was surrounded by her favorite people making art. She is thrilled to have helped bring 4 Long Years to the screen. Other recent productions include Hot Water, What the Constitution Means to Me, and Amor Malifecarum. Megan was instrumental in the formation and process of creating 4 Long Years. Molly asked Megan to come on board as producer after seeing her incredible diligence and artistry when they met at @bgbstudio It was immediately clear that Megan’s deep literary knowledge and nuanced understanding of scripts and plays would be a powerful asset. When Molly shared the script, Megan asked all the right questions…the kind that led to the right edits and allowed the heart of the story to emerge. Without Megan, the script and story as you know it would not be as honest, sharp, or focused. We are endlessly grateful for her care, brilliance, and collaborative spirit.
