The 2026 US Open on Lake Mead is in the books! Finished 28th with the help of a rally bag on Day 2, including a 4.89 lb kicker that held up for 3rd Big Fish!

Even better, got to spend the week with family and make some great memories on the water. Can’t beat that!

Thank you so much to my sponsors for getting me out here and keeping me on the water with the best equipment on the market!

The 43rd annual Won Bass US Open is a wrap, finished up in 10th and had a great time on one of my favorite fisheries. The tournament was cut down to 2 days due to weather, would have loved to have 3 full days but that’s the name of the game. Congratulations to Justin Kerr, couldn’t have happened to a better dude ! The low water made it a tricky Lake Mead but targeting shallow flats with grass and rock got it done this week. I relied on my Garmin perspective mode to show me key details in these zones.

3 in a row and 4 in 5 years. Stoked to come out of the @wonbass US Open with another Angler of the Year title and my 4th straight Top 10 finish, ending up 7th

It felt great to be back on Mead for this tournament, especially having grown up fishing there. Trolling motor on high and burning topwater for two straight days was a great change of pace from Mohave.

I was really appreciative of my dad on Day 2, who always taught me to fish the day at Lake Mead. After a tough morning, we decided to run into a new zone where I hadn’t gotten bit in practice, but the weather was right. My co-angler and I ended up having the most fun I’d had all week, catching and throwing back a couple of limits with nobody around.

Big thank you to my wife @lanamarina for holding it down at home while I’m gone!

And thank you to @rangerboats and @mercurymarine for making the best boats and motors in the business. You can’t win AOY if you’re dealing with boat issues, and my equipment has been flawless for years.

@stcroixrods and @daiwausa, thank you for all the support over the years! And a big thank you to Bridgford Foods for sponsoring Angler of the Year. I’m extremely appreciative of their support and everything they do for the anglers and this sport!
