First @wonbass US OPEN is in the books! I had the privilege to fish with some amazing anglers, back at lake mead!

Day one was a good start, managing a limit tossing around a topwater walking bait and a senko to give us 9.03lbs and sitting in 44th place.

Day two was a turn of events, a weather storm was rolling in and made the tournament a two day shoot out. My boater and I had a rough go and managed to catch 3 fish before the trolling motor died with 3 hours still to fish and bad weather made it nearly impossible for us to fish, unfortunate seek of events but it’s apart of fishing. Ended up 107 out 177. Absolutely love this place, looking forward to coming back! On to the next! by @wonbass

Following a strong first day of the 2026 WON Bass U.S. Open presented by Ranger Boats and Mercury, and after the day two launch at Callville Bay Marina, WON Bass officials were made to cancel day three of the 2026 WON Bass U.S. Open, making day 2 today the FINAL day of the 2026 US Open.

With Tropical Storm Rachel approaching through the Southern Border and with 25 to 35 mile per hour sustained winds with gusts expected to reach as high as 60 miles per hour, the National Park Service made the call to pull the day three permit for the event, resulting in the cancelation of the scheduled final day.

As much as the decision was not something they wished for, WON Bass officials agree with the NPS. Tournament Director Bill Egan said safety is first. “Canceling a day of a major championship is not something we look forward to, but it is necessary for the safety of the field,” said Egan. “As a result, the day two weigh-in at Calville Bay Marina will result in naming our 2026 WON Bass U.S. Open Champion.”

The day 2 (FINAL) weigh-in will air at Facebook.com/WONBassTournaments, youtube.com/westernoutdoornewsYT and the @gameonls website. Join us at 3pm to watch the 2026 US Open Champion be crowned!

178 pros and their AAA partners are competing for the pro winner’s prize of a 2026 Ranger Z520R powered by a Mercury ProXS250 valued at $85,000 and a $70,000 cash prize. In the AAA Division, the field is competing for an $8,000 winner’s share plus a Honda FFourtraxlued at $85,000 and a $70,000 cash prize. In the AAA Division, the field is competing for an $8,000 winner’s share plus a Honda FourtraxATV from Huntington Beach Honda.

The full scheduled payout will be made to the field at Sunset Station Casino in Henderson, Nev. following the day two weigh-in. The day three big bass prizes of $1,000 each for the top 10 big bass in each division will be divided evenly amongst the winners from day one and day two.
