One of the absolute best parts of living on the road is the people you meet along the way. 🚐❤️

Last year, we met another awesome RV family @wonderfully.wander in Gunnison, Colorado, and the kids completed their Junior Ranger badges together at Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Fast forward a year later, and our paths crossed again all the way in Florida at Universal Studios! 🌲🏰

People always ask if kids get lonely living in an RV, but honestly, making friends across the country is so special. No matter where they are or how long it’s been, the second we meet up again, we just pick right back up where we left off! 🥹✨

Have you ever re-connected with road friends in a random new location? 👇

Niles is finally feeling brave enough to be near the water. He’s been so afraid his whole life. But I think the sea is starting to call him thanks to his new pool float from #aldi

🖤 Black Canyon of the Gunnison – South Rim Day Trip (with Friends!)
We explored one of Colorado’s most underrated national parks — and this time, we shared it with friends 🙌
@wonderfully.wander 👋

Here’s what we did with our crew in just one amazing day:

🗺️ Our South Rim Highlights:
✅ Tomichi Point Overlook
✅ Gunnison Point + Jr. Ranger at the visitor center
✅ Pulpit Rock Overlook
✅ Chasm View for a ranger talk
✅ Painted Wall Overlook – the tallest cliff in Colorado - find the dragon! 🐉
✅ Warner Point Trail from High Point – peaceful hike with epic views
✅ Drove down East Portal Road to see the Gunnison River (steep, but worth it!)

💡 Tips for your visit:
– South Rim is more developed & kid-friendly
– North Rim is quieter, more remote – perfect for a future trip!
– East Portal Road has a 16% grade – no trailers or RVs
– Don’t skip the Jr. Ranger program for the kiddos!

So grateful to experience this hidden gem with friends and fellow roadschoolers! ❤️

Man of War in the Keys! I've never seen one myself. I told the kids before we went to the beach, "If anything looks like a plastic bag, DON'T PICK IT UP!" Thankfully, no one was stung today!

Fishing in the Florida Keys is WILD! My son caught this amazing parrot fish today. It was so cool to see this beautiful, colorful fish up close and personal!
