Halos isang taon na mula nang sinimulan namin ang proyektong ito para sa aming thesis. Nakapagtapos na kami, may kanya-kanyang trabaho na rin at ngayon lang namin ito mailalabas. Alam niyo na, life happened.

Malaki ang mga pangarap ko nang pumasok ako sa kolehiyo. Isa na rito ang makalikha ng isang bagay na mananatili kahit tapos na ako sa pag-aaral isang proyektong makakatulong sa mga tao, lalo na sa mga bata. Siguro ito na ‘yung regalo ko sa bayan, kapalit ng apat na taon ng pag-aaral na ibinigay sa akin.
Gusto kong magpasalamat kay Rye na the best thesis partner! Sa napakahuhusay naming mga programmer na sina Arianne Ignacio at Jasmine Alboleras hindi namin ‘to magagawa kung wala kayo. Sa aming pamilya na palaging nakaalalay at naniniwala. At higit sa lahat, kay Lord, na hindi kami pinabayaan mula umpisa hanggang dulo.

Becoming a Beauty Editor for @wondermagph is one of the greatest joys of my life. It was a dream I never dared to dream because it felt impossible. I started in the realm of publishing at the age of 19 as a starry-eyed editorial intern for MEGA. It was the “Golden Age of Print,” and editors were considered transcendent figures. Social media was slowly unfolding, and we all created for ourselves—not necessarily for an audience (and a paycheck). My mentors dared to believe in me, and it gave me the push to re-enter the industry in my mid-20s. Writing always pulled me back, and I dared to follow that calling, and it led to some of my life’s greatest works.

Thank you to @thebeautyedit.ph, @nicolelimosmorales, and my dear friend @caryll_andrea for allowing me to share a bit of my experience in the industry, especially with names I’ve only ever really admired for years. 🤍

Shout out to my now Publishing Ate @kate_paras and, of course, @bellerodolfo who was an editorial intern in a competitor magazine when I joined and became one of my dear friends through the years. 🫂
