Marahuyo Project is a personal love letter to the LGBTQIA+ community from its cast and crew. Determined and out-and-proud, King, played by #AdrianLindayag, establishes the first LGBTQIA+ student org at Mariano Soliman University. To succeed, he must convince the traditional student president, Ino—played by #NeoFranceGarcia—who is a closeted gay man.🌈

@neofrance_’s favorite line from the series, “Love will conquer all,” captures the show’s heart, while @adrianlindayag’s favorite reminds us to keep fighting for our voices to be heard. Marahuyo Project invites everyone to take up space, be who they are and support those still on their journey.✨

It’s Pride, so let’s celebrate it—not just with record-breaking attendances and grand stage productions, but in the true essence of Pride Month: community. 🌈

Pride Month is all about strengthening, expanding and educating our community, as shown in the Marahuyo Project. Produced by ANIMA Studios and directed by #JPHabac, it tells the story of King, an outspoken student played by #AdrianLindayag, who is sent to Marahuyo and found the first LGBTQIA+ student org on campus, and Ino, the closeted student president played by #NeoFranceGarcia. It’s a powerful reminder of the true essence of Pride: unity, education and expansion of acceptance. ✨

Pride Month is about strengthening, expanding and educating our community, as shown in the Marahuyo Project. #JPHabac, who has directed other queer series, explains what makes Marahuyo Project unique in his filmography. “Ang dalas na ginagawa ko, love stories at romantic comedies,” he says. “This time, [we are] focusing on the friendship of a group of people with their own stories.”🌈

The island of Marahuyo, though small and isolated, is full of colorful characters with unique narratives. Producing queer content invites opinions and critiques, but @jphabac believes, “But I think as long as wala kang tinatapakan mga tao sa ginagawa mo, wala naman dapat ipangamba.”✨
