We haven’t disappeared… we’re just swamped! ❤️🐾

If you’ve been wondering why Samovila hasn’t been posting regularly, well, we have our hands (and paws!) full. And honestly, we’re desperately short-staffed and in need of helping hands.

Here’s what’s been happening at our little haven:

🌈 Mumma Dog crossed the rainbow bridge. Our senior girl has left a big hole in our hearts.

🐾 Rishi, just 7 years old, suddenly developed weakness in his hind limbs and is undergoing treatment. Please keep him in your thoughts.

🐱 Tiger Cat needs surgery next week for a swelling in his mouth. We need to raise ₹24,000 for his surgery and would be grateful for your help.

⚡ And then came the electricity bill — a whopping ₹54,000! 😭

💧 We’ve also been busy preparing for the challenging months ahead. Water-storage drums have been purchased, pipes repaired and tanks attended to. With water availability becoming a concern, we need to be prepared for whatever lies ahead.

Between caring for our senior and differently-abled community animals, managing medical needs, keeping the shelter running and trying to prepare for the future, there’s barely a moment to breathe.

But our animals still need us. Every single day. ❤️

We desperately need:
🐾 More helping hands and staff at Samovila.
🐾 Support towards Tiger Cat’s ₹24,000 surgery.
🐾 Help with our mounting electricity and shelter expenses.

If you can contribute, volunteer, or simply share our appeal, it would mean so much to us.

We may be quiet on social media, but life at Samovila is anything but quiet!

Thank you for standing by our oldies, our special-needs babies and all the community animals who call Samovila home. 🙏❤️

🐾❤️ KAI HAS A LITTLE MESSAGE FOR YOU! ❤️🐾

Hello, hoomans! It’s me, Kai! 🐶💛

I’m a 3 legged doggo and one of the lucky few who found a real HOME of my own 7 years ago! Not a foster home or a shelter, but a family to call my own.

But my friends at Samovila Foundation are still waiting for their happy endings. They depend on Samovila for their daily food, medicines and medical care.

So today, I’m asking you to help my friends! 🐾🙏

❤️ We need to raise ₹1,50,000 towards food bills and monthly medical expenses.

Every contribution, big or small, will help keep their bowls full and ensure they receive the care they need.

📲 GPay: 8879915464

Upi- samovilafoundation-2@oksbi

Please donate whatever you can and share this appeal with your friends. Together, we can make a difference! 💚

I found my home. Now, can you help me look after my friends who are still waiting for theirs? 🐶❤️

With lots of woofs, licks and love,
Kai 🐾

🐾 And sometimes, we have guest appearances at Samovila! 😎🐶

Meet this handsome Hulk who decided to take a little detour to Samovila after an unfortunate car incident. A wonderful human, who drove over him by mistake, realising what had happened and seeing him limp and cry, reached out to Lynette for help. ❤️

Vet visit done ✔️ No broken bones! 🙏 Just needs some time for the pain to subside before he heads back home.

Until then, our big boy will enjoy some 5-star Samovila hospitality! 🐾❤️

It gives us immense joy to see a healthy, well-built streetie being cared for by compassionate hoomans who look out for them. 🥹

May their tribe grow, and may every streetie have a human who cares! ❤️🐕

💔 Momma’s Story: From Abandonment to a Fight for Survival

The memory of that day in 2016 still sends a shudder through our hearts.

We remember that phone call — an irresponsible pet parent asking us to take away their female doggo and her five little pups because they simply didn’t want them anymore. 💔

And that is how 2-year-old Momma and her babies came into our lives at Samovila, when we were operating from our rented premises in Navi Panvel.

We managed to find a home for just one of the male pups. Despite our efforts, we could never find virtual parents for Momma and her other babies either.

They have remained with us, through the years, loved and cared for as our own. ❤️🐾

Today, Momma is 12 years old, and life has dealt her another difficult blow. She has been diagnosed with CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease).

From now on, she will need renal food and medication to help manage her condition. As she enters this critical phase of her life, we want to do everything possible to keep her comfortable and give her the care she deserves.

Dear friends, Momma never found a virtual parent. But we hope she can find many kind hearts willing to stand by her now.

🙏 Can you help us care for Momma? Every contribution towards her renal food and medicines will make a difference.

She was abandoned once through no fault of her own. We don't want her to fight this battle without support.

Please come forward for Momma. Let's make sure her golden years are filled with care, comfort and love. ❤️

📩 Please DM us to support Momma.

THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT A FOOD BILL IS.
THEY ONLY KNOW WHEN THEIR BOWL IS FULL. 🐾❤️

Every meal you see in this video is a promise we make to our Samovila babies:

No matter how they came to us — abandoned, injured, old or forgotten — they will not go hungry.

But this month, that promise comes with a ₹74,000 food bill.

We cannot do it alone.
We need you.

🙏 74 people × ₹1,000 = ₹74,000

One contribution can fill many little bowls.
Together, we can keep every bowl full.

GPay: 8879915464

Please don’t just watch them eat.
Help us make sure they can eat tomorrow too. ❤️🐶🐱

Ps : Food bill for Farmina matisse and Vetlife Renal food is seperate bill.

🐾 See what happens just before lights off in our cat section! 😻

You’d think it’s bedtime… but our catto gang has other plans! 😂❤️

A little running around, a little mischief, some last-minute cuddles and, of course, making sure everyone knows they’re NOT ready to call it a day! 🐱🐾

Life at Samovila is never boring — especially when the cats are involved! ❤️

🎂❤️ Happy Birthday, Dear Shraddha! ❤️🎂

Today, we celebrate a very special friend of Samovila — and the loving sister of a very special boy, Oscar. 🐾❤️

On her birthday, Shraddha chose to make our babies happy by treating them all to something special. What better way to celebrate than by spreading love to those who give us so much unconditional love every day! 🐶🐱💕

Thank you, Shraddha, for remembering our babies on your special day and for always being a friend to Samovila.

Wishing you a beautiful birthday filled with happiness, love and countless blessings. May you always be surrounded by the same love you so generously share. 🌸🎂❤️

Happy Birthday, Shraddha!
With lots of love from all your Samovila Babies! 🐾💕

Our hearts are so full knowing that Chandrika and her husband drove all the way to spend their special birthday with our catto and doggo gang. 🐱🐶❤️

🐾 Two Lonely Girls Find Their Best Friend 🐾

After the loss of her beloved kennel mate, senior dog Sumitra, our three-legged girl Rekha was feeling quiet and lonely. 💔

Then one day, Chandramukhi, a paraplegic rescue, came along and simply poked her nose into Rekha’s kennel. And somehow, a beautiful friendship began. ❤️

Today, it brings us immense joy to watch these two girls playfully bite, nudge and tease each other. Their little moments of companionship remind us just how much a friend can mean.

Everyone needs a buddy in life!

Chandramukhi is looking for a Virtual Parent. If you would like to virtually adopt her, please DM us. Your support will go a long way in helping us continue caring for Chandramukhi and all the animals at Samovila. 🙏🐾

And suddenly a Green Fish came into their Lives!!!

Playtime is special when the visually challenged Snow white sisters Kareena and Karishma squint their eyes and run across the room to catch the fish. Happiness is watching the 2 three legged boys Bhola and Simbha, slip n slide and try to snatch fishy!!

Team Samovila want to thank all our friends who support our work. You have helped us create a humble but safe and happy nest for these kids.

Gratitude!!
