A small sponsorship per month of INR 500 or INR 1000, a cost of a dinner out with family or a movie with friends, an impulsive online shopping of something not really needed - can go a long long way to help the Team @foundationsamovila who have taken it upon themselves to give a dignified life to these community animals.

The deed is done...12 years ago and the journey is getting tougher by the day.
Still not able to buy land and build a permanent Home for these kids, costs of everything escalating every six months, donors unable to continue support because of persinal issues and our determination to continue maintaining same level of love and care and food and medical for these furkids, a low social media visibility - all these factors posing huge challenge for us to keep walking on.

We have great hopes on our friends, relatives and supporters. Wont you participate in a small 6 monthly pledge of INR 500 or 1000 from July to Dec 2022 to ensure that we are able to pay our food bills on time?

Our October 2026 medical supplies are being purchased for the Samovila residents as well as rescued dogs and cats from Palghar.

Every medicine is carefully checked by our Trustee before it reaches our centre, ensuring the right medicines are available when needed.

A Blessing in Memory ❤️🙏

Every year, in loving memory of her mother, Mrs. Shubhangi Joshi, our dear friend Sharvari prepares ukadiche modak as an offering to Lord Ganesha and dedicates the proceeds towards supporting our residents at Samovila.

We eagerly look forward to this beautiful tradition every Ganesh Chaturthi — for the love, generosity and blessings they bring with them. ❤️

Today, we join Sharvari in offering our prayers and gratitude to Joshi Aunty — a versatile, multi-talented and wonderful lady who, through her life and values, passed on so many of her virtues to Sharvari.

Her kindness continues to live on through her daughter and in every life touched by this beautiful gesture.

🐾 Two Lonely Girls Find Their Best Friend 🐾

After the loss of her beloved kennel mate, senior dog Sumitra, our three-legged girl Rekha was feeling quiet and lonely. 💔

Then one day, Chandramukhi, a paraplegic rescue, came along and simply poked her nose into Rekha’s kennel. And somehow, a beautiful friendship began. ❤️

Today, it brings us immense joy to watch these two girls playfully bite, nudge and tease each other. Their little moments of companionship remind us just how much a friend can mean.

Everyone needs a buddy in life!

And suddenly a Green Fish came into their Lives!!!

Playtime is special when the visually challenged Snow white sisters Kareena and Karishma squint their eyes and run across the room to catch the fish. Happiness is watching the 2 three legged boys Bhola and Simbha, slip n slide and try to snatch fishy!!

Team Samovila want to thank all our friends who support our work. You have helped us create a humble but safe and happy nest for these kids.

💛 A BIG, HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO PAWPOURRI! 💛

Sometimes, the most generous gifts are the ones that are not just thoughtful, but truly useful. 🐾

After the flooding in July, we purchased beds for our doggos. But we were also wondering about our cats. Thick mattresses are comfortable, but during the rains they can be difficult to manage — they take time to dry, can get spoilt with moisture, and, well… when some of our naughty residents decides to use them as a toilet, they become quite a challenge! 🙈🐱

And then came the wonderful surprise from Pawpourri — these super comfortable beds for our kids! ❤️

They are lightweight, easy to wash, quick to dry and ready to use again. Exactly what a shelter like ours needs!

For our residents, it means a cosy place to rest.
For us, it means beds that are practical, hygienic and easy to maintain — especially during the rains.

Thank you, Pawpourri, for thinking of our kids and for your incredibly generous act of kindness.

Your support makes our work just a little easier and our residents a lot more comfortable. 🐶🐱

One beautiful kajal eye. Three little legs. And a whole lot of courage. ❤️

Meet Raani.
She looks at the world with that one gorgeous eye—and somehow, she makes us see it differently.

She doesn’t know she is “different”.
She simply lives, loves, walks, explores… and carries on.

There’s something so inspiring about Raani.
She reminds us that life isn’t about what we’ve lost, but about how beautifully we choose to look at what we still have. 🐾❤️
