First of all, THANK YOU 🖤

The amount of love, support, and kind words I’ve received since yesterday’s announcement has been overwhelming. I’ve cried reading so many of your comments and messages, and I can’t even begin to tell you how much they mean to me.

I know this news is bittersweet for a lot of people, and believe me, I feel that too. But there’s also so much to be excited about, and I want to make sure that part of the story isn’t getting lost.

Comicmania isn’t closing as a business. We’re simply evolving.

Comicmania is doing well, and I’m incredibly proud of everything we’ve accomplished, especially over these last six years. I’m genuinely excited about what’s ahead.

This is a decision I’m making because my life looks a lot different than I thought it would a year ago. Sometimes things happen that completely change the future you had pictured for yourself, and you have to figure out what that new future is going to look like.

That’s where I’m at.

I’ve spent years juggling the storefront, Whatnot, conventions, traveling, being a mom, and everything else life throws at me. And somewhere along the way, I realized I can’t keep doing all of it. At least not in the way I’ve been doing it.

I love Comicmania. I love what my dad built, and I love what I’ve been able to build on top of it. But I also need the freedom to grow, explore new opportunities, spend more time with my boys, and honestly, just take care of myself.

It’s not a failure. It’s not the end of Comicmania. It’s me choosing a different path forward for a business I love, and for myself.

I know people are sad about the storefront closing. Trust me, I am too. There are so many memories in those walls, and I’m going to miss seeing everyone walk through those doors.

But I hope you’ll also be excited for us. Because I’m excited. And nervous. And a little terrified too.

This is a big leap, but it’s one I’m choosing to take. For me.

So please don’t think of this as another comic shop disappearing. Comicmania is still here. We’re just doing things a little differently now.

And I really hope you’ll come along for the ride.
