Remember, you chose to heal instead of becoming the wound. -@wordsbyrami

We fall in love with the bloom for its colours, its softness, the way it catches light while forgetting the quiet seasons that came before it. Beneath the surface, with care, it returns to bloom each season. 🌸

Let's trade 'what if?' with 'let's see'

When you accept that the choices are yours to make, you stop being a passenger in your own life.

Be the owner of your life choices. Even if they’re wrong, they’re yours.

This quote teaches us that the rightness of a choice cannot be seen from the starting line until we start walking on the path of the choice we made.

These lines are from Movie 🎥 : My Oxford Year

A glimpse into Penn & Kural x @wordsbyrami 's first workshop on postpartum and motherhood 🌸✨

For South Asian diaspora moms, motherhood can feel isolating as we navigate honouring our roots and making space for new ways of thinking.

This gathering reminded us that healing doesn’t happen in isolation; it grows through community, shared stories and continued dialogue.

While this workshop focused on motherhood, Penn & Kural will explore many mental health and wellness topics for South Asian women at every stage of life.

If this resonates, you’re welcome here 🩷

Some conversations need more than one voice 🤍

For our first Penn & Kural workshop, we knew this space needed to be held alongside a woman who understands listening, guiding and creating safety — especially for moms.

Introducing Ramilla aka @wordsbyrami 🩷
She comes with a calm presence and a way of holding space that feels gentle yet grounding. Through her professional work, she has spent years guiding conversations, nurturing reflection and supporting young minds — experiences that naturally translate into how she connects with mothers today.

Together, Penn & Kural x @wordsbyrami will be creating a space where moms can slow down, feel heard, reflect without judgment and leave with an open mind and possibly a new perspective on motherhood.

This workshop isn’t about fixing — it’s about feeling, noticing and allowing. Trust this space 🩷

Her intention for this space:
“My work centers around healing, self-worth, quiet resilience and becoming who you once needed. It is for those who endured quietly and are now learning how to be gentle with themselves.

Growing up, I rarely saw South Asian women being called wise or looked to for guidance beyond sacrifice and service. Endurance was praised. Silence was rewarded. Strength was measured by how much a woman could carry without complaint.

I didn’t grow up reading inspirational words written by South Asian women who were encouraged to use their voices — to empower, to reflect, to build community. Our inner worlds and insights were rarely centered or named. So I chose to become what I didn’t grow up seeing.

I hope to create a safe space where South Asian women, especially mothers, are allowed to be honest without feeling ungrateful, seen without having to explain and valued not only for what they give, but for what they know.”

Her words continue to live beyond this space. You can find more of her reflections on @wordsbyrami 🤍
