We are fighting for better working conditions for Texans. 🔨💪🏽

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Houston is feeling the impact of Trump’s immigration policies. From small businesses losing customers due to the ICE raids to families afraid to turn to their government for help.

Thank you to Congresswoman Garcia for organizing this roundtable and to Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries for joining us to hear directly from our union and community leaders.

Division is the strategy. Solidarity is the antidote.

Anti-immigrant narratives pit communities against one another, weaken workers’ collective power, and distract from the policies that concentrate wealth and power at the top.

Across the country, grassroots organizers are building a different path forward: one rooted in the understanding that our communities are safest when everyone belongs, has their rights protected, and can thrive.

In our latest piece, we spoke with organizers from Pennsylvania Stands Up, Take Action Minnesota, the Texas Organizing Project, Workers Defense Action Fund, and the Working Families Party about how they’re countering divisive narratives and building multiracial coalitions for lasting change.

Read how grassroots organizers are turning division into collective power at the link in bio. A group of four individuals hold signs that read, "We have been divided. Our public schools have everything but the money." The image features Dēmos branding and the text: "From Division to Power: Overcoming Anti-Immigrant Narratives and Building Power with Immigrant Communities."

📢 Dallas!! Join us for a Día De Muertos event to celebrate life & honor those who have passed.

Día de Muertos is how we keep our loved ones close. Their courage and legacy lives on through our actions, our organizing, and our dreams for a better Texas.

💛 This year, we are honoring those who should still be here but were lost to policies that failed to protect them. From our altars to our actions, we honor those we’ve lost by standing together for justice, care, and community.

We must recognize illegal or legal we have rights and must understand them. Make sure all the paper work is in order when someone comes with any court order paperwork. Make sure it’s a judge that sign it and no one else. - JBD Online
