After the PSI hit 288 in West-side Singapore, how will our government respond? Will they finally use the full power of Transboundary Haze Pollution Act and take the haze-causing companies to task? Will they take care of our migrant workers, children, and rental flat residents affected by the haze?

At its core, the haze is a crisis caused by capitalism that harms people disproportionately along class lines. While certain Ministers can hide away in Ridout Road GCBs, our urban poor continue sleeping in the haze and our migrant workers continue their strenuous work, sometimes without masks. Even worse off are the people of Kalimantan, who suffer PM2.5 levels exceeding 3000 while the companies responsible transfer their profits back to Singapore.

To meet other concerned people and learn more about how to fight the haze, attend the Haze Town Hall by SG Climate Rally and PM Haze, this Sunday 3-5pm.

The police are charging multiple activists for lighting candles to honour people hanged by the state, taking a photo outside court, and flying kites to honour martyred Palestinians.

In the days to come, we expect mainstream media to attempt to assassinate the characters of these activists as "anti-Singapore". You deserve the truth. Hear from the activists themselves about their charges and what motivated them, despite knowing the risks activists face in Singapore.

If you are outraged by this and want to show up in solidarity, join us tomorrow at 10am, State Courts to attend the trial of 7 activists.

Then, come down to World Day Against The Death Penalty on 10 Oct, 3pm-5pm at Filmhouse for a day of reflection and learning.

Get your tickets at the link in bio.
