I couldn’t think of a more fitting way to share my first post than reflecting on such an encouraging experience at the @worshipinnovators conference this past week.

Lately, I’ve been learning what it looks like to faithfully pursue the passions God has placed on my heart while surrendering my own expectations of what that journey should look like. Part of that has meant finding the courage to step outside my comfort zone and share those desires with others, even when I don’t fully know where the Lord is leading.

Galatians 6:9 has been such a meaningful reminder:

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

What a comfort to know that our responsibility isn’t to figure out every step ahead, but to remain faithful with what God has entrusted to us today. Even in the waiting, the stretching, and the quiet moments of preparation, He is at work. And His timing is always worth trusting.

I’m especially thankful for the people I had the opportunity to meet, the meaningful conversations we shared, and the encouragement of being surrounded by others who have a heart for worship and serving the Lord. It was a beautiful reminder of how God uses community to encourage, challenge, and equip us.

I’m still processing all that this experience stirred in my heart and leaving with a renewed encouragement and desire to keep growing while faithfully following Jesus wherever He leads. 🤍

"I don't have time to journal." I said the same thing for years.

Then I realized I wasn't short on songs. I was short on margin. Leading on empty is not humility. It is a slow leak.

The Worship Journal is built for busy leaders. One song. A few honest prompts. Space to hear God before you ever sing a word.

Comment JOURNAL and I’ll send you where to start!

This is exactly what I wanted The Worship Journal™ to be: enough structure to help you go deeper, without feeling like one more thing to keep up with.

Launching September 8.

Comment JOURNAL and I’ll send you the details.

If a lyric needs an explanation it might not be ready yet. Because once that song leaves your hands you lose control of what people hear in it.

Great wisdom from Teel of @worship.admin

Whether you’re leading 3 people or 3,000, the goal is still the same: point people to Jesus.

It’s easy to get caught up in the pressure, the platform, the preparation, the schedule, or the numbers and forget what a privilege it is to serve the Lord and His people!!

Keep going. Stay grounded. Lead with excellence. The Lord will do the rest.

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
‭- Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬

1 Peter 4:10 “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:”

‭Mark 6:31 “And he said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat.”

‭‭Galatians 1:10 “For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.”
‭‭

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Being needed feels good… until it doesn’t.

It’s easy to start believing that being stressed means you’re busy, being busy means you’re needed, and being needed means you’re doing something important.

Especially in ministry.

But if every question needs your answer, every decision needs your approval, and everything falls apart when you’re gone, eventually that weight becomes too much to carry.

You don’t have to be the person who does everything.

Building a healthy ministry might actually mean making yourself a little less necessary.

How are you delegating and raising up leaders to help you carry the load?
