POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Ask these four questions about everything your hand touches related to worship. Rehearsal, planning center, scheduling, culture, community, discipleship. All of these need to go in one of these four categories. No more winging it and hoping for the best. You have to get some strategy in what you are doing so you don’t burn out. I love you. 🫡

Please, please, please, bring these songs back to your regular worship rotation! Reimagine them, do them acoustic, tag them onto other songs. These are profoundly good songs that have stood the test of worship trends and church trends. Read the lyrics, sing them in quiet places, and even if you don’t use them in your services, let the minister to you and remind you of what the Lord has done in your life through these songs.

Song You Should Be Leading featuring @brettyounker

I’ve spent the past few days listening to this project and the best way I can describe it is, intentional. I would consider any of these songs for my weekend worship sets and I’ve included four of my favorites for you to check out here. Congrats to Brett on a fantastic release. All these songs are available on @multitracks as well. Check out the link in my bio for the Songs You Should Be Leading Spotify and Apple Music playlist. taken in Dallas, Texas by @worship.admin

I believe in you! You can do this. Start today! Cleaning up your planning center is as easy as these three tips. Here is a lie you might be believing…when I get more time, I’ll do this. You won’t have more time. When you get time, this won’t be the thing you come back to bc it’s not fun to do. It’s not inspiring. It’s not creative. It’s a task and tasks are miserable. Buckle down and start today.

Here is a step by step walkthrough of how to add song tags in planning center. Save this, share, keep it a secret, I don’t care. I do this for the people. I’m like Robin Hood if he was super focused on Planning Center and music director stuff.

The fine folks at @planningcenter showed me how to fix this pesky linking issue between PCO and @multitracks . Sometimes the link button won’t pull up the recording you want. It usually has to do with the CCLI number that’s connected to the song. I hope this helps and gives you another tool in planning center bag to use in the future.

Comment TRIAL for a free test drive of The Evaluator 3000. I have spent the last 4 months building a one of a kind tool for you and your church. Volunteer evaluations, onboarding and auditions all in one place. This is an app designed just for worship pastors to make their lives easier.

You can’t expect your worship team to come prepared if you’re giving them the songs at the last minute.

Your volunteers have jobs, families, kids and full schedules.

Getting the set out Monday instead of Thursday might feel like a small thing to you, but it could be the difference between someone practicing when they have time and scrambling Saturday night.

Good systems aren’t just about being organized. They’re a way of serving and loving your team.

If we want prepared volunteers, we have to give them what they need to prepare.

The older I get the more I want and need to write things down. These are my 5, what are yours?

I wish I had heard this much earlier in life. There are lots of things I don’t desire to do and many of those things I willfully choose not to do and throw out a halfhearted prayer expecting the Lord to intervene where I am lazy. His grace is sufficient. His command is clear. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge him and he will make your path straight.
