WOT Performance Cooling Tray — FK8 Track Tested 🔥🏁

After putting the WOT Performance Cooling Tray through some hard track driving, I’m impressed. Anyone who tracks an FK8 knows that heat management can be one of the car’s biggest challenges.

During my session, I saw a maximum ECT of 222.8°F and ECT2 of 210.2°F, with an ambient temperature around 66°F. In my experience, the cooling tray has significantly helped with managing temperatures on track. My PB for one that session is 1:29.350

Full disclosure: the tray isn’t working alone. My FK8 also has a Koyo radiator, GReddy oil cooler, PRL intercooler, and vented carbon-fiber hood, so all of these components contribute to the overall cooling package. I don’t want to pretend the results are solely from one modification.

That being said, after adding the WOT Performance Cooling Tray, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in cooling during hard track use. For an FK8 that spends a lot of time on track, I’m very happy with the results.🏁

Beat my old time using a lower boost/power map. Have full trust in the car again 🙏🏼 @jsrengines. New @paragon_brakes gave me smooth stress free brakes all day. Peak oil temp for today was 237°f thanks to @wot__performance oil cooler. And finally @cactuscarguy for the custom valved S3 and helping me dial in the settings 🙏🏼

Picture of the car after the suspension install and set-up, I’ve had a few miles behind the wheel now, the car is a fair bit stiffer, but is still compliant in the road, the positive thing is the improved front end feel, grip and greater stability at all speeds. It’s far more confidence inspiring! #spoonsportstypeone #spooncertified #spoonfl5 #spoonfullspecdamper #sw388

1st of the cooling modifications installed, I took the opportunity to fit this when doing the #rigidcollar fit. @wot__performance under tray to help with the exit of hot air from the radiator and exhaust, the also improves the efficiency of air through the radiator. #spooncertified #spoonfl5 #spoonsports

I brought this car home with 100% commitment to building a street car track weapon.
One year six months later, I believe I achieved my goal.

This is my 500hp Honda Civic, Betty.
See you at the next track day.
