Time flies when your having fun and learning new things. Sadly after 3 weeks with Loctaguna Organics it's time for me to depart and head for my last week in Zambia for now. I'm so grateful for Kanangwa and her amazing loctaguna crew for giving me the chance to learn about their natural farming and organic production and to see some of the work they do for the community. Thank you! Got even the chance to participate on training held on the premices. Kiitos! Pääsin jopa osallistumaan heillä pidettyyn koulutukseen.

This week I've been working and learning about organic production on Loctaguna Organics in Leopards Hill. The farm produces vegetables and fruits from its beds and planted trees. They employ the ATM-, and A- Grade methods that were also taught in Kasisi Agricultural Training Center, KATC, wich included interplanting different plant varieties and crop rotation. They also have incorporated trees into the production allowing for bio-diversity, better plant interactions and to generate bio-mass. On the farm they also keep chicken, pigs, goats and some rabbits. They also have on location composting and a sizeable vermicomposting operation.

After years of research, trial and error,we have a winning formula for good plant growth, disease and pest control and water retention especially in our climate. Thanks to our collaboration with @wozaworms who are doing all our soil science and soil amendments. Try their V-BomB, a high quality vermicompost with added biology ,their secret recipe. 💯🔥💯 Our veg tastes so good especially the beetroots, pure deliciousness 😋 #myfoodisafrican #zambiaagriculture #lusakazambia🇿🇲 #soilhealth #syntropicfarming #agroecology #permacultureafrica #organicfarmingafrica #myseedmyfuture #farmtofork #foodie #blackexcellence #zambiafood #youthempowerment#myfoodisafrican #zambiaagriculture #lusakazambia🇿🇲 #soilhealth #syntropicfarming #agroecology #permacultureafrica #organicfarmingafrica #myseedmyfuture #farmtofork #foodie #blackexcellence #zambiafood #seedandknowledgeinitiative #allianceforfoodsovereigntyinafrica #pelumzimbabwe #pelumzambia #rescope #zaab #peacecorps #newrest#agroecologyeconomies #agroecologyfund #upov
