Ryder Holuboff (@wrenchparty) has turned his 2014 Audi Q7 TDI Technik into a true adventure rig. It started stock, then quickly received a Eurowise 2.5” lift, Black Rhino wheels, and 265/70/18s before heading straight for the Arctic Circle. A year later, it made the trip again, this time reaching the Arctic Ocean.

Since then, the build has continued to evolve. The 3.0 TDI now runs a Tunezilla Stage 1, Darkside DPF, and a custom shortened exhaust. Suspension upgrades include poly bushings, tubular upper control arms, and high-clearance rear toe arms. Armor and utility are all custom built by Ryder, including the bumpers, sliders, roof rack, and fuel tank skids, with a Warn 10k winch up front that’s seen real use. It now rides on 275/70/18 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/Ts.

Around home it’s known affectionately as the “bumpy car”, with his 3-year-old always pointing at random mountains asking if it can make it to the top. Over 80,000 km in five years, with camping trips every couple months in sun or snow, even down to -15°C, it’s been used exactly how it should be. Ryder says it best: "The body tells stories of our adventures and mistakes… but we’d never trade those."
