The last time I was in the Sierra was five years back.  
No dirt,
no trail,
Just the final dregs of my soul  after sun cups
and soft snow
Had been my world for four weeks straight.  
The last time I was with Renee was New Zealand last year, we met for the first time irl.
Internet friends turned real-life-sisters;
but this time
I meet her other-half, Jason.
He brings a 3D camera,
lips made of wax,
And a dash of altitude sickness—
 This, with the magic of the mountains
shift my view into
Dreamscape snaps
Of slow mornings,
Open lakes,
And high (altitude) fashion.  Somehow it’s taken this long to get back here.

What a time in 🇩🇲 Dominica 🇩🇲 !!!

Tried free diving for the first time with my swamp sister @wrenees and swam with sperm 🐋 s. Dominica is a unique place where there is some of the best freediving and you can swim with these beautiful sperm whales. Once in a lifetime experience truly. This place is lush, untouched and there’s so much green upon green. 🌱
So happy I came here to explore this beautiful place with my dear friends @wrenees and @ericfuckingandre I love you both truly and dearly. 💜

@wrenees #underwater from back in 2013. I had this idea of capturing her in all her @blackmilkclothing bathing suits to make some composite doppelgänger image. I threw together this #timelapse sequence based on every image image I shot to make the “multi-Renee” composite shots. (Music is by the ever badass @dotmvsic❤️)

Little November recap🤍 it was a big one.
Moved away from my beloved South Pasadena where I spent the last 3 years, moved basically onto this cow field. We have a baby cow (not really ours) It’s a wonderful and easy adjustment but def had some identity crisis moments of questioning every decision. Skiing mammoth opening weekend with Renee :) it had been way too long since we adventured together. It rained for what felt like 10 days straight but we got so much water flowing in the river because of it. New office still needs a lot of love. Went back home to Germany for a hot second to attend the Ispo and met some lovely fellow outdoor people thanks for the invite highsnobiety. Photos i shot for outdoor voices landed on a massive Times Square billboard! With many many many years of modeling my face has been all over the place but to have my photography here was probably high light of my photo career. Foamy pastel beach sunset was so wholesome was having a very bad day and this reminded me of the unexpected beauty of the world🤍

Touched grass, saw big trees and ate bánh mì at the top of the trail with rad people for the @altrarunning community hike put together by @rhea_copeland and @wrenees to test out Altra’s new collaboration shoes with @andwander_official . Can confirm my feet are in tact today and that I’ll be living in these shoes for quite some time. 🔥🔥🔥 also s/o to the trail dawgs.
