It's GCSES results day today ! I was always passionate about art and design at school . I knew what I wanted to do from a young age.

I received my A Level results, which wasn't what I wanted, D in Art with Art History and D in History. I didn't really reflect my ability at all . I was an undiagnosed dyslexic which didn't help as I couldn't understand why it took me 5 times as long to learn. Often, get headaches, which didnt help.

However, that drove to work so much harder. I managed to get on to a foundation diploma at Worcester Technology and get a merit. However, I failed to get any places to go to university and had to apply through clearing .

However, I managed to get the last place @wrexhamuni
however, it is not a degree but an HND in graphic design.

This course was a brilliant course that propelled me to a degree @mfa_maphotofarnham .

Today, I have just opened my new art venue in Cheltenham called @artunioncheltenham, and I am a professional artist and designer.

The journey has begun, and with the help of being diagnosed with severe dyslexia have overcome a lot .

Never give up and keep going. Be round positive people and defect negative comments.

We’ve been privileged to work with @wrexhamuni and local archive groups to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Gresford mining disaster.

Having spent time visiting the Gresford memorial, meeting people from the city and hearing their stories, it’s been eye opening to see how such a tragedy has afflicted Wrexham. It’s been an honour to pay homage to the colliers who lost their lives in the mines.

For those who have lost loved ones in the
Gresford Colliery Explosion on September
22, 1934. Dilys M, Evans, Pontygwaith,
Rhondda, South Wales wrote the following poem:

Comfort, Lord, Thy stricken people
In the homes of sadness now;
May they look to Thee for comfort,
Still their loving Friend at Thou

Give them strength to bear their sorrow
For their loved ones’ tragic doom;
Suddenly it came upon them,
Those that still were in life’s bloom,

Bless each widow, parent, orphan,
Give them courage, every one;
May they look to Thee for comfort,
For their loved one now are gone.

🎉 Newyddion cyffrous!

📣 Rydym yn falch o gyhoeddi ein partneriaeth gyda @cymbrogifutures. Byddwn yn gweithio gyda Cymbrogi i ddarparu eu rhaglen wych ‘Gwneuthurwr Newid Yfory’ mewn cynllun peilot mewn ysgolion ar draws Gogledd Cymru yn 2025.

🌎 Mae Gwneuthurwr Newid Yfory yn rhaglen aml-dymor, wedi’i alinio â’r Cwricwlwm i Gymru ar gyfer disgyblion Blwyddyn 8. Mae’n canolbwyntio ar ddatblygu sgiliau, gwydnwch, cyfathrebu, chwilfrydedd a meddwl beirniadol ac yn canolbwyntio ar ddatblygu gwybodaeth am gynaliadwyedd, systemau, newid a’r economi gylchol.

🤝 Mae rhai o’r tîm wedi bod draw yn Sir Benfro yn ddiweddar, yn gweithio gyda’n cyfeillion o Cymbrogi i ddysgu mwy am y rhaglen, a datblygu ein sgiliau ein hunain er mwyn paratoi ar gyfer cyflwyno’r cynllun peilot!

-----------------------

🎉 Exciting news!

📣 We are delighted to announce our partnership with @cymbrogifutures. We will be working with Cymbrogi to deliver their brilliant ‘Tomorrow’s Changemakers’ programme in pilot schools across North Wales in 2025.

🌎 The Tomorrow’s Changemakers is a multi-term, curriculum for Wales-aligned programme aimed at Year 8 pupils. It focuses on developing skills, resilience, communication, curiosity and critical thinking and is centred around developing knowledge on sustainability, systems, change and the circular economy.

🤝 Recently, some of the team have been down in beautiful Pembrokeshire, working with our friends at Cymbrogi to learn more about the programme, and build our own skills in preparation for our delivery of the pilot!

A great well deserved result today for the ladies with a 5-3 win against Manchester met womens 4's.

Everyone played great today. Even though we only had nine players, we gave it everything and got the result.

The @eighteenhockey player of the match was Molly

👀 Mae’r tîm wedi bod allan yn crwydro ddoe, gan fynychu digwyddiad syniadau cymunedol WrecsFfactor, a gynhaliwyd gan Fwrdd Dinas Wrecsam a @cwmpas

👏 Roedd yn gyfle gwych i siarad â’r gymuned leol, myfyrio ar yr heriau yn yr ardal a chydweithio i ddatblygu syniadau ar gyfer prosiectau uchelgeisiol a fyddai’n gwneud gwahaniaeth gwirioneddol a pharhaol i Ganol Dinas Wrecsam!

--------------------

👀 The team have been out and about yesterday, attending the WrexFactor community ideas event, delivered by Wrexham City Board and @cwmpas

👏 It was a great opportunity to speak with the local community, reflect on the challenges in the area and work collaboratively to develop ideas for ambitious projects which would make a real and lasting difference in Wrexham City Centre!
