➡️If your pessary falls out at home, it doesn't automatically mean it's the wrong size.

I'm talking about ring pessaries with and without support, and what to do if yours feels uncomfortable, slips down or falls out.
1 reason may be your pelvic floor muscles may be holding more tension during your fitting appointment. Once you're relaxed at home, the pessary can sit differently.

It's not always about size. Some women have a flatter pubic arch, meaning there's less of a natural 'shelf' to help keep a ring pessary in place. In these cases, a different pessary shape may be a better option.

A quick mention for the TRION ring pessaries featured in the video. I've been really impressed with them. They're flexible, durable and maintain their shape beautifully.
I've boiled these pessaries countless times and they've shown no change in shape or colour. Definitely a thumbs up from me!
Regardless of the pessary getting the breathing to create the right intrabdominal presaure is a key factor.
Getting the right biomechanics of movement is another key player in the success of your pessary.
Ask your HCP to teach you how to self manage.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the pelvis? 😍

Because honestly… it’s a bit of a legend.

All day long it’s involved in sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, dancing, exercising, running, basically, most things we ask our bodies to do!

And it’s not working alone. The pelvic floor, core, hips, spine, diaphragm and nervous system are all communicating and coordinating to help us move, support us and adapt to whatever we’re doing.

It’s an amazing piece of the puzzle and one I absolutely
Ad💕re talking about!

Because pelvic health isn’t just about pelvic floor exercises. It’s about understanding the whole body and how beautifully everything works together.

This valuable resource explores the connection between urinary tract infections (UTIs), bladder health, menstrual cycles, and period products, helping to improve understanding of urinary symptoms, infection recognition, pelvic health, hydration, self-care, and when to seek medical advice.

The guide also covers the safe use of menstrual products during a UTI, including pads, tampons, period underwear, and menstrual cups, whilst addressing important topics such as hygiene, infection prevention, and Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS).
