The new releases from Parasites and Wrong Life have arrived via Waterslide Records.

Parasites have been writing songs about unrequited love and heartbreak for 40 years now, and my huge respect goes to Dave for that. This one’s great too, but four tracks just aren’t enough.

Wrong Life’s latest is awesome as always! If you dig early Get Up Kids and The Menzingers, you should definitely check it out!!

After a very difficult couple of days, Glasgow was absolutely amazing! So wonderful to rock with hitmen one last time and it was an actual dream come true to join Joyce Manor on stage for Big Lie - one of my favourite songs, and a song that long time followers will know we used to cover live ourselves. Thanks so so much to Barry, JM and their crew for being so welcoming, kind and supportive! 😭🖤 It was also wonderful having our Naomi back finally!

We really appreciate everyone who has been buying our merch to help us out after the van broke down on Thursday and we missed the Dublin gig. We’ve now put all our remaining shirts up on our bandcamp so please do check it out.

There’s more cool photos we haven’t shared yet so I think I’m gonna do a proper end of tour post later this week, but for now here are some wonderful pics from last night by genius and treasured friend @photosonny. Being back at work today was hard, but we’re so grateful to get to do stuff like this. Loads of love FV 🖤

UPDATE: Fixed the ticket link! It now actually works. HOORAY.

Glasgow! A lovely matinee gig for you at The Hug & Pint on Saturday 28th November! 6 quid advance e-tickets are available now, or else it’ll be 8 quid on the door.

Advance e-ticket link is in the Limited Fun bio.

It’s a 14+ gig, but anyone under 18 has to be with a parent.

THE UPSTARTS

Newly reformed ska punk from Elgin. First Glasgow gig in literally 20 years. HOLY WAH. After calling it a day many chequered moons ago, members of The Upstarts went on to play in bands like the Hijacks and The Murderburgers. Now they are back in each other’s loving arms for a friendly jamboree for the ages. Who knows when they’ll be back in town after this? No I, I tells ye. Not to be missed.

FLINCH.

Sad indie-rocky-poppy-grungy goodness from your favourite local girl band. Last year’s ‘Misery Olympian’ LP really is choice nugs a-plenty, and the new songs they’ve been playing live recently are choice nugs of the highest order as well. Come witness their sad glory then support them by buying a sticker of Beth’s knee blood before putting it on your own knee, or perhaps on your face as a spooky and fairly late Halloween tear.

WRONG LIFE

“Impeccably structured bleak punk”/“doom pop/pop punk/emo”, apparently. Live line-up is made up of members of The Murderburgers, Paper Rifles, Bike Notes and The Hostiles. New album ‘I Can’t Remembers Where I Live’ is out now via Limited Fun and a bunch of other labels.

First Limited Fun night in a good while! Friday 11th December at Sketchy Beats, Edinburgh!

WRONG LIFE

SKINNY IMPS

“Edinburgh’s worst all trans punk band. With heavy distortion and a lot to shout about, they’re here to spread queer joy, stick it to “the man”, and stretch your definition of modern day punk.” This is a description I stole from elsewhere on the internet and can confirm that it is indeed accurate, apart from the “worst” part.

WASSAILS

New local pre/post/rock/core band featuring members of Unbegun, Locks and DanDanDan. They just successfully completed their first live outing at a recent Queer as Punk gig, which I successfully missed because I neglected to add it to my calendar. From what I’ve been told though, it was a wonderful set indeed. They’ll no doubt be full of wonder this time as well. Come feel the wonder, won’t you?

7pm-10pm / BYOB / £5-10 suggested donation on the door / Free if you’re skint
