Happy 30th solar revolution to the one and only @wtaharrah! This is my birthday portrait of Wes aka The Orange Man, aka El Patrón, the founder of @caracollabs—the eccentric globe-trotting entrepreneur who keeps a menagerie of artists at this Freeform Art-farm in the jungle—one of the kindest, most caring prototypes of humanity I know! This orange fella knows how to select and bring together grade A humans like no other. 🧡 Infinite respect and love-in-action🍊 here’s to many more years of doing space together! 🥂 #6: early one morning in Xilitla, he discovered a petrified orange that had merged with the tree in which ants had made their home. Utilizing his Berkelee musical background he created the first ever “antstrument” by blowing on it, activating the sound of their little legs rattling and resounding with rhythmic business. 🐜 One of the most Wesleyest things I’ve ever heard him utter came in the face of adversity when someone proclaimed something was “the hard part”. He shrugged it off and without missing a beat responded, “that’s the easy part. It’s all the easy part.”

What an incredible week at #antisocialcamp 🫨 so grateful to have seen old friends and made new ones. It’s wild thinking about how this all started on zoom during Covid times and @dannyrossmusic has built it up to be the biggest songwriting camp in the world. I had the privilege of working in some of the most beautiful studios I’ve ever seen and with some incredible songwriters and producers whose music I adore. I already can’t wait for next year! @antisocialproducersclub

So many conflicting superlatives that I could use to describe my 2024. Not only were there more highs and lows than any year of my life so far, but the magnitude, impact and significance of it all was on an unprecedented scale. If I had to pick a through-line that ties all of it together, I’m going with “seeking life, seeking peace”. So on that theme, along with these big and small moments from the year (and a lil teaser of things to come), I’ll quote the ever-quotable @wtaharrah on slide 7: “To peace, inside and out.”

Life is crazy cool these days. Took over Tokyo with Tyla with some professional homies, caught the Teddy Swims show engineered by my friend @jtgagarin for @syncronicity.live, made some new friends, reconnected with old ones who happened to be around, made art, experienced art, laughed, ate, sang, danced, and dang did it feel good.
