Waynesburg University is using the Freak Athlete Protocol this season.

Jordan Mosley takes us through 3 of his favorite upper body exercises from the program.

Plyo Push Ups: Build explosive pressing power and teach the upper body to produce force quickly.

Single Arm Rows: Develop upper back strength and pulling power.

Pin Presses: Build pressing strength from a dead stop and train the upper body to produce force with intent.

The goal isn’t just getting stronger.

It’s building strength you can actually express explosively on the field.

Comment “EV” and we’ll send you a free workout from the Freak Athlete Protocol.

Nothing I say is law. Take what works and drop what doesn’t.

I’m Ian Jenkins. I failed so you don’t have to.

Never quit.

Want to train your legs like a college baseball player?

Jordan Mosley and Waynesburg University Baseball are using the Freak Athlete Protocol to build stronger, more explosive athletes this season.

Here’s what this leg day looks like:

Trap Bar Jumps to load the legs and produce as much force as possible.

Split Squat ISO Pulls to build strength and stability in the split position.

Drop Catch Split Jumps to absorb force and explode back out of the ground.

Pin Split Squats to build serious single leg strength.

Nordic Hamstring Curls to build stronger hamstrings and help reduce injury risk.

Everything has a purpose.

We’re not just trying to make baseball players stronger. We’re trying to build strength they can actually use on the field.

Comment “EV” and I’ll send you a free workout being used by college baseball programs.

I’m Ian Jenkins. I failed so you don’t have to.

Dear Waynesburg Sports,

I’ve spent the last few weeks trying to find the right words to describe something that has meant so much to me over the past 4 years. However, how do you say goodbye to something that helped give me purpose and know what I want to do everyday for the rest of my life? Announcing to many is just someone narrating some sort of sporting event, but in reality it is the continuous reminder of I am doing what I love. Over my past four years of announcing Waynesburg Athletics, no matter the long nights, stressful productions, double header, back-to-back days, I don’t regret my choices and I’d do it all again if given the chance. Whether it’s a 102 degree fever, working with an ingrown toenail and a sprained ankle in the same foot, I can safely say without my expirience of sports announcing, I don’t know with what I want to do with my life. So to my peers, friends, athletes, teams, coaches, staff, and Waynebsurg athletics, thank you for allowing me to grow into who I want to be not just as a profession but a person as well.

For my broadcast partner of Waynebsurg athletics, and myself Ethan Spozarski, I’m signing off saying so long friends and hope to see you next time.
