Brews, Infusions, Remedies. Its that time of year.

A little homemade herbal goodness 🍎🍊🌿

There's something so comforting about creating your own wellness brews, especially as we move into the colder months.

Today's blend is a beautiful combination of beetroot, apple, orange, lemon, cinnamon, fresh thyme, garlic, turmeric, ginger and raw honey. 🍯

A nourishing infusion of fruits, roots, herbs and spices, each bringing something a little different to the pot.

🌿 Immune nourishment – citrus fruits provide vitamin C to support normal immune function.

🫚 Digestive comfort – ginger has long been used to help settle the stomach and ease nausea.

❤️ Circulation support – beetroot contains naturally occurring nitrates that may support healthy blood flow.

🍯 Throat-soothing comfort – warm honey and lemon can be especially comforting during cold season.

✨ Plant-powered goodness – turmeric, cinnamon, thyme and garlic bring a wonderful variety of naturally occurring plant compounds.

And beyond the ingredients themselves, there's something really lovely about the ritual of preparing something slowly, intentionally and with care.

A reminder that wellness doesn't always have to be complicated. Sometimes it's as simple as a warm mug, a moment of stillness and a little nourishment from nature. 🤎

Ava loved her smoothie, it had beetroot and other wonderful things in it 😋

And look how delicious the cakes look! Will defo go back next time I need a sweet fix 💕 I love local, independent food/coffee spots ☕️🍰🥖🥐

Its been a weekend of simple pleasures. I have felt myself softening this weekend, amidst the chaos 💕🙏🏽

I am in my ring wearing era... vintage rings, crystal rings, im not a nails did kinda person so this is my hand decor ✌🏽

I attempted Vietnamese pho... it tasted nice, but I didnt pre boil the noodles LOL and I kinda got a bit carried away with the stock 🤣

I done lots of oracle cards this weekend, learning my new decks and getting lots of insight from my personal messages. Bliss. Of course adult colouring. The outdoor pool with the kids (doesnt my boy have the most gorgeous eye 😍)

I watched Practical Magic (the first one) - and I LOVED IT. I wore my new Disney villain pyjamas whilst watching (Home Bargains).

Oh & I attended a spiritualist centre for their Sunday service, think crystals, pop songs as hyms, Mediumship, casual clothing and guides and spirits. It was interesting & I look forward to exploring further 💕

How has your weekend been? Xx

This Full Moon period has been intense and quite rough. Just when I thought I was in such a great place, the lunar cycle and the moon behind the shadows decided to show me that, nope, theres areas you need to work on!

I have so much journaling to do in the coming weeks as we begin transitioning into a new season. I realised that I am having anxiety about the months leading up to Winter. Last year I embraced every season, this year theres an uneasiness.

I will be sharing some oracle card messages and journaling prompts going forward to work though this. 💕🧘🏾‍♀️☯️

FEARLESS ME PENDING 💪🏽✌🏽

I'm so tired of feeling like life has become one giant competition.

Who works the hardest. Who sleeps the least. Who's the busiest. Who has the tidiest house. Whose children are the best behaved. Who earns the most. Who somehow seems to be doing everything... without breaking a sweat.

Meanwhile, behind closed doors, so many of us are overwhelmed.

We've normalised parents raising children without a village.
We've normalised living in a constant state of stress.
We've normalised wearing burnout like a badge of honour.
We've normalised comparing our ordinary Tuesdays to someone else's carefully curated highlight reel.

And then...

We judge the mum whose house isn't spotless.
We judge the parent whose child is having a meltdown in Tesco.
We judge the person who admits they're struggling.
We judge the woman who says, "Actually... I can't do it all."

Something about that just doesn't sit right with me anymore.

I'm not interested in competing.
I'm interested in slower mornings.

More compassion.
More honesty.
More community.
More grace for ourselves and for each other.

Because maybe the bravest thing we can do isn't proving we can do it all...

Maybe it's admitting that none of us were ever supposed to.

🤍

If even one slide made you think, "I thought it was just me," then this post was worth sharing.

Lately I've noticed something happening to me... and honestly, I can't fully explain it.

The woman who once spent weekends in clubs, chasing the next night out, now finds herself standing in fields watching cows, getting emotional over sunsets, collecting "glimmers", drinking herbal tea and finding genuine joy in birdsong, flowers and the changing seasons.

And I'm noticing I'm not alone.

It feels like so many millennials are moving away from hustle culture, endless productivity and chasing the next big thing... and instead we're seeking peace. Slowness. Rituals. Creativity. Nature. Healing.

Maybe we're burnt out.

Maybe we're healing.

Maybe after years of surviving, striving and performing, we're finally coming home to ourselves.

Or maybe I've completely lost the plot 😅

I'd genuinely love to know if you've noticed this in yourself too.

⬇️ Have you become softer as you've grown older?

I've actually written a much deeper piece exploring this idea over on my Substack. I'll pop the link in my bio if you'd like to read it 🤍

Can we normalise talking about overstimulation?

I spent years thinking there was something wrong with me.

Why did noise bother me so much?
Why did I sometimes feel irritated by being touched?
Why did I need so much alone time?
Why did I occasionally feel like I wanted to run away from my own living room?

As a mum of four, a parent carer, and someone living in an overcrowded flat, I've realised I'm not broken.
I'm overstimulated.

There's a difference.

The constant noise, responsibility, decision making, emotions, appointments, conversations, worries and demands all add up.

And sometimes my nervous system simply says:
"That's enough for today."

If you've ever sat in your car for an extra five minutes before going inside...

If you've ever locked yourself in the bathroom for a moment of quiet...

If you've ever cried and couldn't quite explain why...

I see you. 🤍

I have always written. As a child it was poetry where I would fill notebooks with poems. I even wrote a story that got 'published' with a family friend who worked for a publishing company 🥰

My grandma used to love my writing. My book summaries for school books were so detailed. I read so much, head buried in a book often. So words and vocabulary flowed easily for me. At one stage of adolescence I had decided I wanted to be a travel writer for travel magazines etc. 🌴

I continued to journal sporadically in later life, but I often felt really ashamed of my life, where I had ended up. Feeling like a statistic (single, young mum). So i didnt put much into that. 😔

Fast forward to now. My creative passion are energising me again. I have suddenly found writing again. Its always been there in the back of my mind, I browse online creative writing courses, the writing thing was always like a niggling thing tucked away safely in the background...

Now I feel I have stories to tell. Real stories. Snapshots of my mind. My mind is often messy. But Substack is a new outlet, a discovery I am so grateful for.

Here is a snapshot of an essay of mine. Check my substack out to get the full version. And checkout my first article which is The Barefoot Man ❤️

It would mean the world to me if you could subscribe to my Substack (link to my first publication is on my bio) and support my writing 🙏🏽💖

People often talk about healing as if it's something that happens in peaceful silence.

My healing journey looks a little different
.
It happens between school runs, hospital appointments, FND episodes, teenage hormones, sibling arguments, snack requests, mental load, noise, overwhelm and trying to keep everyone afloat.

Sometimes I leave a meditation class feeling grounded and connected.

Then within an hour someone is screaming, crying, arguing, having a seizure, slamming a door or testing every ounce of patience I have left.

And if I'm honest? Sometimes I still react.

Sometimes I still shout.

Sometimes I still feel completely overwhelmed.

But the difference between the old me and the version of me today isn't perfection.

It's awareness.
I notice it sooner.
I apologise sooner.
I repair sooner.
I forgive sooner.

And I think that's what healing really looks like.

Not becoming a different person.

Just becoming a little more conscious, a little more compassiona
te and a little more regulated than you were yesterday.
If you're trying to heal while raising children, please know you're not failing. You're doing one of the hardest jobs there is. 🤍

Today I saw a man walking barefoot down my local high street.

And no, I wasn't jealous of the possibility of stepping on broken glass 😅

But I was jealous of the connection.

The grounding.

The feeling of being fully present.

So I knew I needed some grass beneath my feet and some trees above my head 🌳

A few hours later I found myself under the shade of a huge tree in Osterley Park with my blanket, oracle cards, meditation cushion and a homemade scone that was absolutely worth every calorie.

I meditated.

I listened.

I received.

And during meditation, my grandmother came through. She passed away when I was 15, and it felt incredibly comforting to connect with her energy again.

The thing is, this wasn't one of those dreamy "I spent all day doing self-care" days.

Far from it 😂

Today also included supermarket trips, school runs, swimming lessons, dishes, hoovering (multiple times because apparently the floor enjoys keeping me humble), dinner, repeat prescriptions, school emails, teenage drama and all the other invisible tasks that come with being a mum and parent carer.

Life didn't stop.

I just made space for myself within it.

And I think that's what I'm learning lately.

Healing isn't always a retreat in the mountains.

Sometimes it's 2 hours under a tree between the chaos.

Sometimes it's choosing to listen to your soul before returning to the to-do list.

Sometimes it's remembering that you're a whole human being, not just the person who keeps everyone else's world spinning.

Today felt gentle.

Nourishing.

Grounding.

And strangely productive in a way that's difficult to explain.

Because whilst I may have ticked plenty of boxes today, the most important thing I did was reconnect with myself ✨🌿

Healing has been one of the hardest, most beautiful journeys of my life. 🤍

I've spent years unpacking experiences that shaped me in ways I didn't fully understand at the time.

Childhood wounds. Family patterns. Toxic relationships. Survival mode. The pressure to be strong when I really needed support.

For a long time, I thought these things were just part of who I was.

Now I understand they were things that happened to me, things I adapted to, things I learned in order to cope.

The truth is, healing isn't a destination that you suddenly arrive at. It's an ongoing journey of awareness, self-compassion, forgiveness and growth. Some wounds feel healed, some still need tending to, and that's okay.

I've been through a lot in this lifetime, but I can honestly say I'm no longer just surviving. I'm learning how to live, how to trust myself, how to regulate my emotions, and how to create the safety within myself that I once searched for elsewhere.

And whilst this post is about the things I'm still healing from, my next post will be about something equally important...

The ways I know I've actually healed. 🌱
Because healing deserves to be celebrated too.

If any of these slides resonated with you, know that you're not alone. 🤍

My first experience at The Mind Body Spirit Festival and it lived up to everything I thought it would be!

Myself and my friend spent 3 hours or more there & didnt even get halfway through! There was just so much on offer, and it was full of beautiful energy ✨️

I will never forget it, as I got my first crystal healing bowl and made some amazing purchases from businesses that I will 100% buy from again! (Tagging below)

@eldara_be_the_light (beautiful offerings)
@newworldcreations (the most gorgeous aura mists)
@healwithpaige (my first ever sound bowl, she radiates beautiful energy too 🥰)
@thesaltandrockshop (absolutely epic collection of crystals, sage & incense)

I cant wait for next year's event. I was so inspired 🥰✨️

I know where my calling is now, and I am excited 😊
