It's been such a journey! Yesterday Amaia was finally discharged after 6 long months of treatment at GOSH and being seperated from us. Amaia suffers with Functional Nuerological Disorder also known as FND, which is really widely unknown about!

It's basically an invisible disability at large, but each patients symptoms vary widely from person to person, sort of like the autistic spectrum. For Amaia she suffers daily with seizures, dissociation and it can impact her speech and mobility, fluctuating daily.

It's been an intense 6 months where the nurses have done their best, and after getting to know the staff, the hospital, the surrounding areas, its definately a bittersweet goodbye.

Her treatment is certainly not over but it is now back in the local community meaning she is now back at home where she belongs and the fight will continue from here!

Guys. How gorgeous are these pics? Throwback to a couple of weekends ago when we had the pleasure of spending the day at @oddsfarmpark

I am yet to post a reel, I have been taking it slowly, and trying to fill my cup, rather than prioritising content, but trust me, we have been up to some wonderful things, nothing fancy or outrageous, more wholesome and joyous! 👀🤞🏽

Autumn is fast becoming a pleasure. Cosy and comfortable, its being kind to us so far 💕 I hope the seasonal change is being kind to you all too 🙏🏽

The Cutest pumpkin experience at Odds Farm last week. Such a sweet and wholesome day out.

I have more pictures to post. And a reel. I need to show you how lovely it is here - well worth a visit!

The pumpkin carving was a highlight, so nice to be able to do a family activity like that without the mess and clear up at home! 🎃

This has been an extremely emotional birthday for me. I dont know what it is, I think it's a combo of parental overwhelm, ageing fears, imposter syndrome (as I am being loved and cherished in a way I never have) and seasonal change. Its all going on.

This weekend was a little reset that was much needed. I got some lovely and thoughtful gifts and had great food. And saw @oliveronstage which was OUTSTANDING 😍

No matter what, I am blessed. And I will rise 🌅💪🏽

Its October 👋🏽

Libra Season ♎️ ⚖️

Pros :

✨️ I have some lovely birthday plans, including dinner, hotel stay, and theatre 🥰

✨️ my birthday is on a saturday - I get to snuggle in with the kids that morning 💕

✨️ we had an amazing day at Odds Farm the weekend just gone & I cant wait to share more of that in the next few days 🎃

✨️ I am blessed.

Cons:

🙏🏽 I am not feeling well at all recently, majorly run down, with all sorts of symptoms, and following the seizure I had last year, its left me feeling worried & depleted.

🙏🏽 my mental health has taken a hit, and even meditation and yoga cant get me out of it at the moment.

🙏🏽 there is alot going on with the kids, health issues, behaviour issues, its draining.

How are you all doing? What do you do when you have a downhill moment & just cant be asked with life, social media and responsibilities?

Quiet on the socials - because I am not okay. 👎🏾

This is the first time in a long time I have had such a huge dip in my mentals - but things are on top at the moment.

I would like to pretend that we are going into the festive season with excitement, but I need to be honest when things aren't going well. And they aren't.

I have been soooo quiet recently! I have a backlog of content but am so busy with life! So here is a reel of after school antics at the park! Amaia & Lolly are two peas in a pod! 🫛🥰

Fighting SEN battles with various organisations in regards to Amaia

Getting answers regarding Ava's health (why is everything such a fight)

I am studying, at the beginning of my meditation facilitating 🧘🏾‍♀️

And I have been exploring alot of spiritual practice, to keep myself going and going.☯️

ANNUAL TRADITION UNLOCKED ✨🚤

Last night we drove around 50 minutes out of London to gorgeous Henley-on-Thames for the annual Illuminated Boat Parade… and we already know we’ll be back next year. 🥹✨

Henley itself is so quaint, whimsical and pretty. We only really saw it as the sun was going down, but instantly wished we’d arrived earlier to explore properly.

We found the parade online and knew straight away it was right up our street. I love finding little experiences like this that turn into core family memories. 🤍

The idea is so lovely — boats of all shapes and sizes are covered in lights, colours and full-on themes, then parade along the Thames as part of a competition with awards including Best in Parade, Best Illuminated Boat and Best Fancy Dress.

And the judging panel was surprisingly star-studded 😂✨ Dame Mary Berry, Jerry Hall and Edd China were all there judging from Leander Club.

The kids LOVED it, and the Mayor even gave Lolly & Mo glow bracelets, which was such a sweet little moment. 🥹

TOP TIPS FOR NEXT YEAR:
✨ Arrive early — ideally up to an hour before
✨ Bring foldable chairs or stools
✨ The riverbank is beautiful but VERY poo-ey thanks to all the ducks, geese and swans 😂🦆💩
✨ Take snacks and drinks and make an evening of it
✨ If you can, leave time to explore Henley too

It’s also completely free to watch, which makes it such a lovely affordable family evening out.

Have I found WEST LONDON’S BIGGEST Home Bargains?! 👀🛒✨

Okay… I don’t know if it’s officially the biggest, but this is hands down the BIGGEST Home Bargains I’ve ever been in — and believe me, I travel up and down for a good Home Bargains, B&M or The Range, so I consider myself quite the expert at this point 😂

The newly expanded Southall store is HUGE and I was genuinely so impressed with how much they’ve managed to fit in here.

🍫 SO much food & drink
🐾 A massive pet section
🎃 Halloween absolutely understood the assignment
🎄 And the Christmas aisles?! Inspiring. Dangerous for my bank account… but inspiring 😂

It genuinely felt like there was aisle after aisle after aisle, and definitely one of those stores you go into “just for a few bits” and somehow emerge an hour later with an overflowing trolley. 😭

If you love a bargain shop mooch like me, SAVE this one for your next trip 👀

🫶🏽❣️ LITTLE MOMENTS ❣️🫶🏽

Had to take Ava into get checked out at the hospital this morning - bless her. And we decided to stop at @isleworthdeliandbakery beforehand!

We have been wanting to try this cute spot out for a while now, its aesthetic, the food looks lovely and fresh and its always so busy!

We really enjoyed the meat filo pastries we had, think they were Albanian! One of them really reminded me of lasagne - will defo get that one again 😍

Ava loved her smoothie, it had beetroot and other wonderful things in it 😋

And look how delicious the cakes look! Will defo go back next time I need a sweet fix 💕 I love local, independent food/coffee spots ☕️🍰🥖🥐

Its been a weekend of simple pleasures. I have felt myself softening this weekend, amidst the chaos 💕🙏🏽

I am in my ring wearing era... vintage rings, crystal rings, im not a nails did kinda person so this is my hand decor ✌🏽

I attempted Vietnamese pho... it tasted nice, but I didnt pre boil the noodles LOL and I kinda got a bit carried away with the stock 🤣

I done lots of oracle cards this weekend, learning my new decks and getting lots of insight from my personal messages. Bliss. Of course adult colouring. The outdoor pool with the kids (doesnt my boy have the most gorgeous eye 😍)

I watched Practical Magic (the first one) - and I LOVED IT. I wore my new Disney villain pyjamas whilst watching (Home Bargains).

Oh & I attended a spiritualist centre for their Sunday service, think crystals, pop songs as hyms, Mediumship, casual clothing and guides and spirits. It was interesting & I look forward to exploring further 💕
