@diamondditc is the focus today as we continue to go thru the vinyl collection and maaaaaaaan lemme tell you the memories THIS RECORD RIGHT HERE bring back!!!! I spent a lot of time at my dear friend @bpleasel apartment on Normandie when this dropped, it was on repeat daily!

Production, production, production 🔊💣🎧🔥☄️🤦🏽‍♀️ TOO MANY!!!

The samples, the guests @sadatxbrandnubian is always memorable, the adlibs (“YO CHILL!!!”), the one liners, Diamonds matter of fact flow, it all started right here for me!

Many many years later he dropped a favorite of mine that you may not know which I featured on my De La Soul mixtape that I dropped last month (check that out if you’re a @wearedelasoul fan), it’s a song he did with @plugwondelasoul called “Flying High” it actually might be my favorite Diamond song, real talk.

Felt right to celebrate this iconic album given It was just Diamonds birthday last week so join me in wishing the big guy a collective HAPPY (belated) Birthday!!

He just dropped a new song with @bustarhymes can’t wait to check that out as well!

I’m feelin this DITC frequency right now so let’s see what’s next 👀🎧✌🏽

Proxy Gallery Presents
xiouping: modalities: the body keeps time
at Beyond Baroque

On view: March 28 to May 9, 2026, 2026
Opening Reception:
Saturday, April 11, 3-5 pm

The work of artist xiouping is a 12-minute video and sound installation composed of a looped single-channel video. The camera stays in a fixed position inside a bedroom. We see a woman pushing someone in a wheelchair off camera, and then the same woman coming and going, tidying the room and the bed, carrying cups and bottles away from the bedside table, arranging medications, emptying the commode and changing the lining, placing new mattress protectors on the bed, and performing many actions indicative of caregiving to a disabled person, who is off camera.

Shows have been the new club for me for quite a while now…clubs don’t hit anymore, parties do but they have to be thoughtfully curated and the DJs need to be all the way on point,…which doesn’t happen often.

So far 2026 did not disappoint in the live shows dept.
Lord Finesse got people outside with his LA party BRONX TALE & we rolled deep! @sadatxbrandnubian @diamondditc @niceandsmoothofficial @teacha_krsone all performed @regenttheaterla solid night of adulting with bestest friends @_genevievegreen @adrianejamison & @harperville - Gorillaz show @hollywoodpalladium was nuts it’s all about the shows! Oh, @channeltres DJ set @sohohouse DTLA was a workout!!

Last Saturdays @nobar_noho is always a fun night especially when folks are in from out of town! @sadatxbrandnubian & @diamondditc came and stayed till the lights came on I love playing for artist friends and not playing they’re shit lol! But it was fun to play a bunch of gems they never get to hear out from new wave to jazz to disco.

Had to slip in a late night zoomie video Rocky’s late night park walks are my favorite…

@harperville & friends @nobar_noho for Last Saturdays in January was a packed night I love when friends surprise me and pop in on this night! My lil bro @mightyrel guest DJ’d with me! I have no interest in clubs anymore been there did it and did it well, but dive bars never go out of style! People come out to hear music, they’re down for anything. @nobar_noho is where you can find me in LA doing DJ sets every last Saturday unless I’m traveling. 5 Star dive bar always authentic energetically and the taco truck is slammmmin’

If you’re in LA on a Last Saturdays of the month come thru it’s a mood.

Dear Divine Feminine,

Thank you.

Thank you to every woman who trusted me enough to step into this space and share your voice, your art, your rhythm, and your spirit. Holding space for you all during Civic Void: The Divine Feminine was one of the greatest honors of my life.

Your courage to stand in your truth, to tell your stories, to move the room with your words, your drums, your music, and your presence reminded all of us what real power looks like. Not power through force—but through authenticity, vulnerability, and creation.

You filled that room with something sacred. Something ancient. Something that no institution or system can ever replicate: the living spirit of the divine feminine.

To everyone who came out and witnessed it, supported it, and shared that energy with us—thank you for believing in the vision and helping bring it to life.

This wasn’t just an art show.
It was community.
It was trust.
It was love.

With deep gratitude and respect,
Eddie Roque
