Happy New Year babes! I hope you’re having a slow, lovely morning. (swipe to see how my dog Blue infiltrated my photo) I’m attempting to read When The Moon Hatched for the third time in buddy reading it with my girl @_danielledurand

I wanted to do this tag as a lil’ reintroduction, thank you @kelcyreads for tagging me.

📕 When did you start your bookstagram?
This actually was a page my best friend & I created together under a different name. I went solo in June of 2024 & rebranded.

🪽Why did you start?
I have always loved reading since I was little, I became obsessed with booktok. I finally became brave enough to create an account there & then transitioned to here as well!

🙏🏼What inspired your name?
I design brands & websites as part of my career so it’s a play on words. It’s meant to symbolize I’m a reader in the very essence of who I am.

🍒What was the first book you reviewed?
On here Heartless Hunter, which I still love and can’t wait for the sequel Rebel Witch.

❤️‍🔥What’s your favorite part of bookstagram?
I love seeing everyone’s creativity, my favorite pages are the ones that trickle in their personal lives and personality into what they post. The community aspect, bonding over books & meeting such kind hearted people there’s nothing like it.

📚 Favorite recent reads?
The Wedding People is a book that will stick with me for a long time. Also I just finished The Broken Earth Trilogy by NK Jemisin… I have no words it’s an utter masterpiece.

I have recently been lucky enough to attend a signing at the @therippedbodice bookstore in brooklyn, and I managed to get my hands on this beautiful copy of the nightmare before kissmas! even though it’s only november, I think it’s the perfect time to start with the cute little christmas romances! 🎄

It’s The Unmaking of June Farrow by Adrienne Young (FairyLoot edition 💫) and I am OBSESSED 😆 My heart is still doing flips over this stunning birthday gift from my amazing friend @xrayeted.reads 🥰 This book is easily a top read for me this year, and now having this dreamy edition? Absolute bliss! The fanart, the reimagined cover… I need a moment lol If this isn’t on your TBR yet, please, I’m begging you — add it now! Adrienne Young crafted a hauntingly beautiful, magical realism story that hits all the feels, and it’s perfect for fall vibes 🍂 You’ll hear me talking about this one forever 🤣

⟢ The coziest read on my shelf is Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries 🧚 It gets tense at times, but the setting and atmosphere feel so cozy and relaxing 🤗 It’s got the perfect blend of fantasy and academia!
