For those of y’all who missed our first one, we’re back at @signalnyc on Saturday, October 10 from 3-9PM! This time, we’re teaming up with @wearethedj the Brooklyn DJ school founded by @y3lda for women and people historically excluded from the craft. WATDJ alums @soundsbyavenuehardy @tpquethedj @whitwhit_djs will kick things off with a 3-6PM showcase, followed by @dj9am who will close out the night. See you there! Tix in bio 🍷

Wow. We did it @avayaghmaie.

We shot this episode a year ago with an incredible crew of old and new friends who volunteered their time, energy and talents. We found the incomparable @y3lda who made our job easy by nourishing us with her wisdom, humor and impeccable stories. More members joined our team (I’m looking at you @officialemmyawards and @fearsheer) who elevated this to something beyond our imaginations.

Ava and I started this project as a way to fight against an impossible situation that filled us with fear and dread with hope and joy: as only art can do.

Then to share our work in the most beautiful community in Brooklyn with friends, our crew and my @rootsbrooklyn family made the most magical experience practically explode with fairy dust.

I can’t believe we get to share what we made now with you. Link in bio for Episode 1 of Freedom Frames.

And huge s/o to @reyreyfernandez for these killer photos capturing the joy of the evening.

My heart is bursting!

Friday night wasn’t just an event, it was a fundraiser sustaining our cultural infrastructure @everything_political 🗞️

Independent media and cultural work don’t grow on aspiration alone. They thrive because community shows up — with resources ❤️, with reciprocity ♾️, and with belief 📿 in the work.

Everything is Political is expanding because people understand that storytelling, archiving, and truth-telling are forms of cultural power. And power must be funded.

Seeing so many of you gathered in support reminded me that bold ideas become real when community invests in them. Your contributions make it possible for us to protect our creative freedom, uplift radical voices, publish the stories being erased, and build the cultural infrastructure our future deserves.

If you feel connected to this vision and want to be part of what we’re building — we welcome your support. This work grows because people choose to stand with it.
