🩸 Knowledge saves lives before medicine arrives.

Conducted a practical session on Pressure Points along with Pankaj Sir, focusing on emergency bleeding control and immediate response techniques. In critical situations, the right action at the right moment can protect a life until professional medical help reaches the victim.

Every trained individual strengthens the chain of survival. 🚑

I tried a new social experiment today: Friday Coffee Hour - a simple, low-pressure coffee hang for @nyc.in.la members, happening simultaneously at three local cafés. ☕️

Here’s how it worked: I recruited a few “Coffee Captains” to host tables at each spot. Their job was to welcome people, make introductions, and help spark new connections. I shared it with the @nyc.in.la community and told people to pick the café closest to them and drop in anytime from 9-10am. No RSVP, no pressure.

I had no idea how many people would show up.

The result: 22 people showed up across 3 cafes. People loved the casual, no-RSVP drop-in format, and several volunteered to be Coffee Captains in the coming weeks. We're going to make it a regular thing.

My takeaways:
✅ One-off events are great, but there's something nice about having regularly scheduled (weekly / monthly) gatherings you can mark on your calendar.
✅ Mornings work in LA — sunshine + low-pressure daytime hangs is a good combo.
✅ Decentralized organizing works. In a big, far-flung city like LA, you can activate an online community and bring people together IRL at scale, without needing one central meetup.

More to come soon. ✌🏻
