We came for a night of crazy hair and fun.
We left with hearts overflowing. ❤️

DuBois, PA, we couldn’t have asked for a more meaningful final stop on the Crazy Hair Tour! A huge thank you to Tri County Church for welcoming us!

But it’s the moments beyond the crazy fun that we’ll carry with us. Moms wrapping their arms around their daughters. Little hands raised in worship. Girls making first-time decisions to follow Jesus. ❤️

To every mom and daughter who joined us on this tour, we’re still praying for you. That the faith sparked in these moments grows into a lifetime of walking with Jesus.

The lights are down. The tour is over. But the stories God is writing in these girls’ lives are far from finished. ❤️

Thank you Dubois, PA for coming out to @truegirlofficial tonight — Thank you @tcconline.tv for hosting us. There’s nothing like watching girls dance and sing, and connect with their Mom while she speaks life over them, prays with them and just creates some memories these girls won’t ever forget. It is pretty great to be a girl! 🩷🎉 Let’s make Jesus loud! 🏁🙌🏻

Sewell, NJ and @fellowshipbiblesewell thank you so much for last night. I met so many amazing people like Macy who gave me the biggest, tightest hug any six year old can give. 🩷 I loved hearing from you that listen to my music and watch my videos in your homes, church, @awana programs, missions trips and more. You clapped and sang along with my songs in a way that reminded what a gift it is to make Jesus loud! 🏁
Thanks for coming out to @truegirlofficial —I can’t wait to come back up your way!

What is worship like on the True Girl Crazy Hair Tour?

THIS. 😍🙌

All those voices. All that joy. Hundreds of girls lifting their voices together to worship Jesus!

There’s something powerful about a room full of moms and daughters worshiping together.

These are the moments that make the Crazy Hair Tour so special. 💗

It’s Pastor Appreciation month. To be honest it’s not anything I remember celebrating growing up…but my perspective has shifted in the last two years of the conversations I’ve had for the podcast. I’ve heard from PK’s that say what a blessing and formational time those celebrations were for them.

I want to take a minute and honor my Dad. I’ve had a front-row seat to bear witness to his ministry for the last 46 years. I’ve seen the fruit from his labor in the people that he’s ministered to. From eight-year-old boys that are now grandparents themselves….to the ministry leaders across the world that have soaked up dad’s wisdom, and conviction for #kidmin

I’ve been blessed to see him not just preach things with words but live them. I’ve seen him stir up the gift inside him and fan the flame, keeping it from going out, over and over and over. When it would be easier to quit and go get that marketing job he says he’s learned the skills for from being in ministry, he perseveres. I’ve watched him encourage himself in the Lord. I’m starting to see some fruit in my life from remaining faithful and let’s be real, it’s because I’ve had the best example.

I also have to admit he’s a really good dad. As a parent I now understand the sacrifices he made to launch me…and the intentionality of his words to speak life to me. I could go on and on but alas there is a word count so I’ll just say: the pastor I appreciate the most is my Dad @jimwideman 💙

We loved having this missionary kid conversation with @jacob_reed29 —Thinking through being a third culture kid and caring for them well. Here’s some things we appreciated that he shared with us:
“Jesus very much had a mentality of he didn’t only meet a spiritual need, even though that was our number one thing. He would meet our physical needs….There’s a lot of things that people can walk through while on the missionary field that we would say that is objectively a traumatic experience. A traumatic experience is gonna affect anybody for a lifetime…When you see the work the Lord is doing, you wanna be a part of that.

(Swipe to see these favorite quotes too.)
1. Striking the balance of: what is best for the ministry? AND what is best for the family?
2. How do we care well for a third culture kid?
3. Every kid that has stepped off the mission field has a global mindset that is radically different than a lot of people.
4. Reese’s & Legos were the hands and feet of Jesus!

Episode 102: Third Culture Kids with Jacob Reed is available for you today. Go push PLAY! You’ll be glad you did. These insights are valuable whether you’re a parent, Pastor of any kind or a PK. Let’s lean in, learn, grow and build healthier churches and ministries. That’s the heart of this podcast. Healing and rebuilding. Be sure to share these messages with a peer you have. Help us spread the word about our Stained Glass Kids family.
