Thrilled to experience first institutional solo exhibition in Europe of artist Mohammad Alfaraj at Delfina Foundation in London today. It was a pleasure to learn about #MohammedAlfaraj’s practice and to understand how he expresses the concepts of memory and time in his art work. You must catch it @delfinafdn if you can! I will be interviewing Mohammed soon for a feature in #TheBardAndTheRawi 💗

Our baby shower ✨ Despite my best intentions, I somehow didn’t manage to get everyone into the group photo (poor Amir didn’t even make the cut! 😂). We feel so grateful to have such wonderful people in our lives and can’t wait for Rupert to meet you all 🤍

🔍 The May 2026 New York marquee auctions
💥 $2.1bn in evening sales across the three major houses
up sharply on last May. Christie’s led with $1.3bn
Sotheby’s followed with around $737m.
📈 Strong single-owner collections and fresh works delivered excellent results, with clear demand for quality, rarity, and provenance. ✨ Highlights
• S.I. Newhouse Collection — Pollock’s Number 7A at $181.2m
• Agnes Gund Collection — Rothko’s No. 15 at $98.4m
• Marian Goodman Collection — Richter’s Kerze (Candle) at $35.1m
• Henry S. McNeil Jr. Collection — Judd stack at $12.8m
• Robert Mnuchin Collection — Rothko’s Brown and Blacks in Reds at $85.8m
• Barbier-Mueller Collection — Matisse’s La Chaise Lorraine at $48.4m
• Sybil Shainwald Collection — record-setting Magritte at $974,000
✨ The Newhouse collection remains one of my favourites, built over five decades with extraordinary intellectual rigour & taste.
📊 Trophy-quality material continues to outperform,
while there are still excellent opportunities across the market at all budget levels.

Grateful to Phillips and Yassi for a wonderful auction breakfast — a thoughtful start to the day surrounded by remarkable works.

Especially exciting to see South Asian masters and visionaries like Subodh Gupta, Ram Kumar, Jagdish Swaminathan, M. F. Husain, and Lancelot Ribeiro highlighted — a powerful reminder of the depth and global resonance of South Asian art

Grateful for the many highlights from our past few years at Maison Pan London…

Candle-lit evenings in honour of the National Gallery’s 200th anniversary, including a viewing of ‘Echoes of Identity’ – the group show we hosted with our friends Artiq.

‘What Are You Looking At?’ – an ambitious exhibition investigating how images circulate, inspire and connect contemporary artists today.

‘Art for Lebanon’ – a fundraising exhibition and auction with Choose Love, bringing urgency, care and collective action into the space.

Intimate dinners in the studio with both old and new friends 🍷

‘Tokyo Tails’ – a solo show by Marie Obegi that turned Maison Pan into a cinematic battleground (also featuring a hidden Japanese cocktail bar).

Open studio days that spilled late into the evening.

‘Chroma’ – an immersive exhibition experience, book signing and conversations around colour by artist Su Müstecaplıoğlu.

Life-drawing sessions (including our collaboration with BIC 🤍) that saw ink-stained hands and shared focus.

‘Antidote: A Polaroid Exhibition’ curated by Cyrus Mahboubian, featuring a lineup of acclaimed international artists.

And last but not least, our recent exhibition ‘Restrained Despair’ exploring grief and family histories.

Exhibitions, books, dinners, talks, fundraisers, experiments, but above all .. people.

Artists, curators, friends, collaborators. First-time visitors and regulars alike.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who passed through the vaults and helped shape our time in this unique space ✨

With Phillips’ 2025 results now released, it feels like a good moment to pause and take stock.

Looking back, the year carried real momentum. Global sales were up 10%, Private Sales grew by 66%, and Priority Bidding quickly found its footing, with early selling bids nearly quadrupling.

Alongside these milestones, one of my personal professional highlights was the collaboration with Danish fashion designer Stine Goya @stinegoyastudio — a reminder of the creative dialogue that sits at the heart of what we do.

Watches also marked a special moment — celebrating its 10-year anniversary with its strongest year yet, surpassing $290 million, and crossing the $200 million mark for the fifth year in a row.

Grateful to work alongside such talented, committed colleagues across regions and disciplines, and looking ahead to 2026 with optimism and focus.
