I’ve been to @tambellini_and_co in Brookline a few times so far, but their Yelp event this week knocked my socks off. Best event in my seven years as a @yelppittsburgh Elite.

Owners and chefs Mike and Trista pushed all their tables into one long family-style because they wanted everyone to feel like family. That pretty much sums up the vibe they've created in this place.

We started with homemade flavored lemonades and freshly made focaccia on the table, followed by big wedges of their incredible homemade cheese. The cheese is made and pulled by hand, and you can really taste the care that goes into everything here.

Next came enormous meatballs (I passed as a vegetarian, but they looked amazing) followed by our choice of chicken or eggplant Parm. My eggplant was perfectly battered and smotheredddd in more of that unreal mozzarella.

For dessert we were supposed to have homemade biscotti and @mercuriospgh gelato, but Mike and Trista mentioned they had a little of their decadent chocolate tres leches cake left and added a piece in every bowl. That cake is now living rent-free in my head.

The evening also featured live watercolor artist @kpillustrations creating mini prints of tomatoes, pasta and more, plus electric violinist @stevenvanceentertainment playing Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey. The whole experience was just so special!

If you haven’t been to Tambellini & Co. yet, put it on your list immediately. It’s an incredible addition to the vibrant Brookline/Dormont dining scene.

I can’t stop going back to @familydeli_bethelpark for their monster sandwiches! “Hot Capicola, Hot Sopressata, Pepperoni, Provolone, Oven Roasted Sweet Peppers, Shredded Lettuce, Tomatoes, & Onions Finished w/ Deli Dressing!” Some of the best roasted red peppers!

@350bakerypgh has my fave breakfast sandwich. The bacon is always crispy and loaded up on the sandwich. You also have to get the everything biscuit. But don’t forget to get the baked goods!! My dad is obsessed with the sticky buns! And I love the puff tarts!
