Meet @marienjmalloy_, the talented photographer behind the camera at our Yelp events! 📸🌟 Originally from Venezuela and now based in Pittsburgh, Marien brings warmth, authenticity, and a little bit of home into every story she captures.

When she left Venezuela, photos were one of the few things she could take with her. She realized she didn’t necessarily remember the pictures themselves, but how she felt in those moments. Since moving to Pittsburgh, she’s loved connecting with the local community and building meaningful relationships through her work.

We are so lucky to have her behind the lens! ❤️

#MeetTheOwner (& a GIVEAWAY (closed)), Shannon of @openaircinemapgh 🎬✨

🍿 What is your favorite part of your business?
“My favorite part is sharing something I’ve loved since childhood while creating a memorable experience for others. Growing up, my dad and I went to the movies every Sunday, and those are still some of my favorite memories. I also love bringing food into the experience through our onsite kitchen, The Night Market. I’m especially grateful for the support of my family, friends, and fellow small business owners like Erika of @tlclibations.”

🍿 What has been the best part of being a small business owner in Pittsburgh?
“The best part is seeing my vision come to life, without really knowing how I was going to pull it off, and bringing people together through a shared experience.”

🍿 Any fun facts or something you'd like people to know?
“I’ve worked in tech for 18 years, and I still do! I’ve also been working in real estate for the past six years, so Open Air Cinema has given me the opportunity to tap into a completely different, more creative side of myself. It’s been such a breath of fresh air to bring ideas to life, create experiences, and connect with people in a way that I don’t always get to in my other work."
