Not all vacations are somewhere else … some are right in your backyard❤️

October always rushes in like a lion with anniversary celebrations and my birthday just a few days apart.

Took a few days to do what I love and even tried ignoring the to do list 🫣

Feeling just incredibly happy and peaceful ☺️

A week of summer in my life… from speaking at one camp, hanging out with some gems at another, having church, celebrating a new baby on the way and some beautiful moments in between ❤️

Forever grateful to the Lord for placing the position and call of pastor on my life- this opportunity to walk alongside young people and fill a role of championing them as they develop and grow is my greatest joy. To all those who graduated last night and throughout this week at other schools - my heart swells with pride and love as I see you becoming all that God has made you to be.

It’s never a goodbye when you walk out of youth ministry into being a young adult, it’s a shift from you coming to a ministry and now you coming to our kitchen table.

You’re welcome over anytime, love you all ❤️🎓✨

Attended the Halifax General Conference this past week with the @thepaoc representing the team @gtcarnprior

My first time in Halifax and my first National conference- what an amazing time! I’m leaving challenged and inspired to continue to dream, grow and persevere

So grateful for the chance to attend and that my best friend @yeshuac was able to be there with me 🩷

Looking forward to gathering again

📝When I wrote these affirmations I didn’t think much of them; it was a way to encourage a student to make mistakes and not be afraid of failure.

Little did I know that this was actually the summary of my entire creative process over 30+ years distilled into a few short affirmations. It’s an ethos for how I try show up in the world, not only as an artist but as a husband, a friend, a business owner, and generally how I show up as a person.

These affirmations have become central to all my creative endeavours including how I start private lessons, group workshops, rehearsals, gigs, new projects etc.

This may not be earth-shattering news to anyone but they’ve been a blessing to me - and it’s time I share them with the world

Ps. For this and so much more - thank you student

This is a really quick explanation of the number system for social media but the concept can and should be explained in more detail for it to fully make sense. If you’re interested in learning more or taking lessons send me a DM!
