A few weeks ago, I traveled to Jamaica to attend my niece @regmarie's surprise engagement weekend, thoughtfully organized by her fiancé, Chef @adrianforte. It was an incredible experience, not only because of the breathtaking beauty of Negril but also because it allowed me to spend quality time with my nieces and nephew as adults. Being in the Caribbean filled me with a deep sense of nostalgia.

These are the children of my sister, Allyson, who passed away from cancer after making the brave decision to migrate to another country. I spent a lot of time just observing them and feeling an immense sense of pride in their remarkable achievements, considering the challenges they faced. They truly deserved every moment of fun they had.

I'm also thrilled to welcome new family members into our lives, @kvshy and @mikemgmt_ and I hope that we can collectively learn from the generational mistakes our family has made, and hopefully have a brighter future for generations to come. To my nieces and nephew @sayitaintcor, @solzburger, @molinayadigg, and @regmarie: We may not talk every day, but please know that I am immensely proud to be your uncle! #love

Three years ago, I wanted to challenge myself and do something I was terrified of, and that was a live event. That was when both Slay Model Search started along with my producing partnership with @lihp310 and @rdalba I always look forward to our “pre-production” meetings, especially with our new partners @mistertreat and @abdullahrasheen . To @onealappeal and @patricksantaana , thank you for continuing to make all the models, gorgeous year after year.

Thank you @ariscetocrat for being a star and inspiring so many of your peers, @katrinefenger for holding down the fort and making this season the most beautiful it’s been, and to your team @james4leo @miostudios @hamishkmcalpine @styled.by.manny @styledbyestelle

Every year, we try to make it better and bigger because not only do we owe it to ourselves as producers, but also because the Trans community deserves space in the Fashion and Media world.

Thank you to all our supporters and allies who have helped put together this stage and have put your money where your mouth is. This is the tangible alignment we need during these days that the very existence of this community is threatened.

On my 46th birthday this year, I realize my birthday March fourth is also the only date in the entire calendar as a call to action, “March Forth!” which we are all doing with a war and a pandemic happening.

I am a Gay Filipino immigrant who represents Trans models at Slay Model Management and this brings me immense joy. My allyship is not performative, nor is it zeitgeist. It is a day to day reality.

I am not gonna ask you to donate to a cause today because that’s annoying but I would like you to please take a look at yourself with kinder eyes and also, to not be an asshole.
