Tag those friends🥹🥹

Some friendships don’t start with deep conversations — they start with shared miles, sweat, and showing up.

You don’t just talk, you struggle together. You push each other on days you want to quit. You celebrate small wins no one else understands.

And somewhere between all of that…
strangers quietly become people you can rely on.

Maybe it’s not about sports.
Maybe it’s about finding people who choose to show up — with you, again and again.

Leader’s intuition or just plain luck?

Either way, I’m not moving until the mountains say so.

That's our coolest trek leader @indiahikes after hearing about the landslide in the region who taught us that waiting is the best virtue in mountains.

✨ The ABODE Excursion Programme is backkkk! ✨

On the final day of our Chhattisgarh Jungle Trek, our students paused at the peak, writing postcards to their future selves and to their loved ones. Quiet moments on top of the world, hearts full of dreams, reflections, and awe. 🌿💌

The climb tested us, the jungle humbled us, and the river walk of Gopat brought us back to calm. Nature was our teacher, and we discovered so much about ourselves along the way.

This was only the beginning. This year, The ABODE Excursion Programme is taking us higher—into the Himalayas. Mountains, here we come! 🏔️💫

We attempted a speed hike to one of the toughest trails in the Gangotri region — 24 km, 5,000 ft altitude gain, all in a single day.
Planned it with my boys @gareeebghumakkad and @ym.hikes — three of us, chasing one wild plan

The trail had its own rhythm.
Steep climbs that left our lungs burning. The Spider Wall — a massive vertical rock that demanded focus like never before.
Four glacier-fed streams we had to wade through, chilled to the bone, holding on to each other so the current didn’t sweep us away.
Rockfall zones where one loose step could cost more than we were willing to pay.
And yet, through it all — we kept going.

Just 500 meters short of Kedartal, we had to turn back.
The weather turned swiftly — clouds rolled in, the winds picked up, and in the mountains, that’s all the warning you need.
The lake could wait. Our lives couldn’t.

But what a trek it was.
We saw leopard and bear pugmarks, stood frozen as herds of blue sheep stared us down.
We screamed across valleys, shared moments of total silence, pulled each other across tough climbs and out of icy streams.
We laughed till our stomachs hurt and laid down under the cluster of clouds, tired and whole.

No summit photo.
But if you ask me what we found — I’d say a story we’ll pass down forever.
Because sometimes, the mountain gives you what you didn’t ask for.

And that’s more than enough.
