5 things I don’t do in a new moon week:

🌑 Start things I haven’t chosen on purpose.
🌑 Say yes to what my ♥️already knows is a no.
🌑 Fill every quiet minute just because it’s quiet.
🌑 Wait until I feel ready (ready is a rumour).

And lastly…
🌑 Keep quiet about the thing I’ve been building.

Which brings me to Saturday. Under the new moon (8:50 am Pacific,) I’m sharing something I’ve built all year over at @yoga.science.school for the teachers, and the quietly teacher-curious.

Your turn: which of the five resonates with you this week? 🌙

Meet Michaela 🤍

She came to us as a student in the 200-hour Yoga Science School training. Now she’s stepping onto the platform to lead the practice herself.

Her hope for you in her class is simple. That you feel permission to meet yourself exactly where you are. No perfect poses required. Just you, your mat, and an hour to breathe, feel, and be.

Catch Michaela on the platform this week!
🥂 Sunday morning, Yoga + Mimosas
🌅 Wednesday evening, Sunset Stretch & Sip

Volume up for her beautiful story 💕🌿

A reminder to step out of your comfort zone, follow your heart and your dreams…do it scared, maybe even before you feel ready. You never know where it might lead you. Possibly to teach an outdoor yoga class on a secret platform, over looking the lake surrounded by mountains with your besties by your side! My heart is full ❤️🌅🧘‍♀️🍷

When I was a little girl I used to make up dances in the kitchen, singing and banging on pots or whatever I could find to make more extravagant sounds and dances. As I got older, I started to worry. I worried about everything - what people thought of me, how I looked, my health and the health of my family…. but mostly I worried about a future that was unknown. I don’t remember the exact moment that I started to trust myself again, and to listen to the small voice inside that wanted to dance and sing and be different, all I know is that it started out as a small voice interlaced with doubt: who was I to want to carve my own path? I still hear those doubts every once in a while but the sound of my own heartbeat is louder and stronger.

And one thing I know about growing older - I care much less about all those old worries. This wild life is precious and the only way to have the energy to live fully and presently, is to not let the worries stack up and take control. To jump in to something new, even though it’s scary and the outcome might be unknown. To celebrate the small delights and to live with joy in my heart, no matter how cringy it is to my kids 😆♥️ Grateful for another trip around the sun, and that I get to connect deeply with the incredible people around me in the work that I do, and that spills into my personal life as well.

I pulled the Joyful Dancer hummingbird card from @em.j.pattison ‘s deck this morning and it felt like it was made just for me: “the Calliope Hummingbird flutters into your life radiating the vibrant energy of joy and the dynamic pulse of the heart chakra. with its rapid wings that resonate with the heartbeat of life, this tiny yet spirited bird symbolizes the joy found in each moment.”🪶

Meet Linden. 🤍

Come move with him on the Chakra Platform next Thursday, July 23rd at 6pm for Sunset Stretch & Sip.🧘🏽‍♀️🧘🏽‍♂️🥂

Summer is a beautiful sprint, and I often have to remind myself that even with a jam packed schedule, I deserve to be on it.

Even the fun summer stuff requires energy. When we’re in constant motion, our nervous systems don’t always get the rest that they require.

I’m reminding myself that regulation doesn’t take an hour long routine. It’s the quiet mornings listening to the birds, a few deep mid-afternoon belly breaths, or finding moments of stillness throughout the day.

Here’s your reminder that you belong on your own summer schedule. ☀️

Words and photos don’t do it justice. It’s something that must be experienced. Slow down, breathe, feel the breeze on your skin and listen to the soothing songs from birds and truly feel the ground beneath your feet. Simple luxuries in this life.
