Trauma-Informed Children’s Yoga Teacher Training 💜

Last weekend we played, stretched, laughed & learned together. The whole time we kept one question at the center: how do we help kids feel safe in their bodies?

Trauma-informed yoga for kids isn’t about perfect poses. It means:
✨ giving choice instead of commands
✨ building predictable, playful routines
✨ making movement a way to regulate, connect & feel seen
✨ meeting every child exactly where they are

We showed up with open hearts, silly energy & a real commitment to the young people in our communities.

Thank you to everyone who held space & shared stories. This is how we build a more regulated, compassionate world, one breath & one kid at a time. 🙏🏾

Harmonic Earth Festival this past weekend was the exact reminder I needed to reset, revisit, and remember all the reasons why I became a bodyworker in the first place 🫶🏻☀️💖

To all the organizers and many MANY volunteer hands that played a part in bringing together this loving group of humans to Stonehenge for a weekend of soft landings for grief, joy, and inner work, thank you for your sincere presence, intentional programming, and amazing care for the land and the energy brought to the space 🙏🏼

But especially to all the people that shared their spirit and vulnerable stories with me, to those that joined my yoga flow, and those that trusted me with their physical bodies for Thai work— your curiosity and enthusiasm for all I had to share was a beautiful gift. I am blessed to have been able to share this weekend with you all 💜🌀

And another big shoutout to the sweet volunteers I do not have names for that found my car keys in the main lawn after I dropped them dancing my little heart out at the silent disco 😂🫶🏻 the universe continues to have a great sense of humor!

Until next time @stonehedgegardens @__carlybrand__ @mishanayoga @isabelcaroline @jayakava @poetbstark @gaiaraga @thrifty_poppins 🙌🏼 and many others. Thank you for an amazing experience.

We are honored to welcome Yoga 4 Philly into Violets in Bloom for their yoga teacher training. It means so much to provide a space for this meaningful, life-giving work. 💜

Founded by Steven Brice, Yoga 4 Philly @yoga4philly works to make yoga and meditation accessible and equitable for everyone. Through trauma-informed, beginner-friendly practices, Steven and his team bring movement, mindfulness, healing, and connection into schools, community centers, senior communities, shelters, and other spaces throughout Philadelphia.

To welcome each teacher, we prepared a small energy gift with intention: a Worry-Free Stone, a smudge bundle, and a cup of our house-made relaxation tea in a single-serving glass vial. Each gift was created as a reminder to pause, breathe, clear the energy, and care for themselves as they prepare to support others.

Thank you, Steven, and the entire Yoga 4 Philly community, for the important work you continue to share. We are grateful to hold space for you. 🌿
