Happy Labor Day, Astoria! We’ve got a number of block parties and street fairs today to celebrate the unofficial end of summer. Check them out starting at 11am!

On a sadder note, the Astoria Pool is officially closed for the season, so pour one out for summer pool days 😭💔. But have no fear! More exciting events are near!

And mark your calendars: Outdoor Cinema is returning to Socrates Sculpture Park with two special nights of film, food and music on September 12 and September 26.
Check out this week’s newsletter for the full lineup and go support your local businesses! 🫶 #astoria #localevents #queens #smallbiz

Meditation and mindfulness are ancient practices that have never been more relevant. We don’t learn how to meditate as much as we remember how to slow down and pay attention. All practitioners welcome. “The only thing you have to offer another human being, is your own state of being.” Rumi.

A very active June.

Structure gives me space
To do more of what I love.
Grateful for the systems
That let me live life fully.

Favorite wellness practice - cacao ceremonies.

I have attended several cacao ceremonies, but first time attending one at @yoga_agora, and it was so memorable ✨

@audreycibel took me on a journey. Her cacao was incredibly yummy, and her guidance of prayer, journaling, mindful movement, sound healing, and overall ceremonial expertise was groundbreaking.

Can’t wait to attend the next one!
