I was so afraid of doing this BLOOM & BRAND photoshoot with @wonderbluecreative. I’ve never done a photoshoot of this caliber… so it was a completely new experience for me. I was afraid of not knowing what to do or how to do it “right.” I was afraid of how my weight would show up in pictures. I did my own makeup and nails versus having a professional do it. I just was uncertain that, me… just as I am… would be “enough.” I feel that way about a lot of things right now that require more visibility in areas where I’d rather stay hidden. In my mind, I want to wait until I’m closer to “perfection” in certain areas. But God insists that He’s not looking for my perfection. He’s looking for my SURRENDER. As I reflect on this powerful photoshoot, I’m reminded that just like my job that day was to just show up somewhat prepared, follow instructions from the one in charge and just BE…. God is requesting the same of us in our everyday lives and the multifaceted assignments He’s calling us to. If we can prepare, listen and BE… He’ll handle the finished product, the bloom, the BECOMING. 🤍 Even though I was a little late 🫣 rushing to get myself “together,” it was ok. There was grace for that. And there’s grace for the other areas we might be running behind schedule on in life. It’s ok. Thank you @songwriteher and your amazing team for your incredible work and intentionality 💕 Photography: Wonder Blue Creative Creative // Aisha Maness Hair: @yogieman42 Makeup/clothes: Me 😜 The Becoming: God 🤍 #GiveHopeDaily #BLOOM #Become #EverydayDoxa
