I was so afraid of doing this BLOOM & BRAND photoshoot with @wonderbluecreative. Iā€™ve never done a photoshoot of this caliberā€¦ so it was a completely new experience for me. I was afraid of not knowing what to do or how to do it ā€œright.ā€ I was afraid of how my weight would show up in pictures. I did my own makeup and nails versus having a professional do it. I just was uncertain that, meā€¦ just as I amā€¦ would be ā€œenough.ā€ I feel that way about a lot of things right now that require more visibility in areas where Iā€™d rather stay hidden. In my mind, I want to wait until Iā€™m closer to ā€œperfectionā€ in certain areas. But God insists that Heā€™s not looking for my perfection. Heā€™s looking for my SURRENDER. As I reflect on this powerful photoshoot, Iā€™m reminded that just like my job that day was to just show up somewhat prepared, follow instructions from the one in charge and just BEā€¦. God is requesting the same of us in our everyday lives and the multifaceted assignments Heā€™s calling us to. If we can prepare, listen and BEā€¦ Heā€™ll handle the finished product, the bloom, the BECOMING. šŸ¤ Even though I was a little late šŸ«£ rushing to get myself ā€œtogether,ā€ it was ok. There was grace for that. And thereā€™s grace for the other areas we might be running behind schedule on in life. Itā€™s ok.
