Meet Eavesdrop, our new cocktail party built around storytelling and conversation.

For the first edition, six featured guests will raise a glass to Queer New York with short personal toasts woven throughout the evening to spark conversation around the room.

There’ll be food by chef Anthony Morfa, wine + NA drinks, and plenty of time to eat, drink, and meet new people.

We’re also looking for a few volunteers to help us host the night.

Some photos and videos from the beautiful Second Seder my dear friend @taliaofftherecord and I co-hosted.

An amazing mix of friends and family, traditions old and new, songs in three languages, and amazing food (mostly traditional dishes I made). We had such a great time that our joyous sounds kinda broke the roof, Talmud-style. By that I mean someone literally called the police on us with a noise complaint 🤷‍♀️

To be spotted as part of the table setting: the Yiddish “Know Your Rights” ICE booklets from @nycimmigrants, that I translated for the @nycmayorsoffice in January. Because obviously, Passover is the perfect time to remember, welcome, and protect our immigrant neighbors ✊️

Grateful for friends, community, traditions we get to do, traditions we get to create, and traditions we get to break 💞

Had a Passover Seder so rowdy the neighbors literally called the cops & the NYPD knocked on the door to say we were violating the city noise ordinance! 🤣

Needless to say—it was an absolute delight. Thank you @abbychavastein & @taliaofftherecord love you so much!
