Work has been my life raft this year. Not in that - throw myself into overwork - like I’ve done in the past, that hasn’t felt possible. But in that living into what we’re creating in the world way.
I’ve reflected a lot these last couple years on liberation and belonging - on how we can cocreate spaces where we’re fully free and know we belong with and to each other.
I found that this year. Ive wanted to cocreate that from the inside out at SJP, and this year, I’ve found that from the inside out of me.
And in living into that, I feel my grief and our collective grief more deeply, and my joy and our collective joy so much more vibrantly.
I’m feeling into all the corners of my life where I’ve not allowed myself to be free and I’ve not allowed others to be free. And all the ways I’ve taken myself out of community and created disconnection.
I’ve been so scared of what would happen inside my own liberation, would I just fly all the way apart?
Instead I’ve found the relief of feeling held in big laughter and reflection and tears and connection and music and movement, in finally relaxing into all of who I am and knowing I get to be here too, all of me, all the way. And in that, I get to be all the way in with and for all of us.
The first photo is right after a profound moment where Charlotte shared intentions for our team, closing with “without exception,” and my heart just cracked open, as I realized that meant all of all of us, including me.
Huge appreciation to this team and this work and this way of life for holding all of me and all of all of us. ❤️
