Myra’s wedding. These are some film photos I got to take of my oldest youngest friend, where she wed the most perfect man, Lyle. The wedding was in Port Wing, Wisconsin. In the civic town hall, across the street from Amish and non-amish small town people driving anything but a car (four wheelers, go carts, horses, etc.) I don’t think they had ever seen so many gay, trans, and queer people in one place before. We smoked cigs, drank negronis from a spigot, danced to techno, and listened to every one give a speech all saying the same thing; none of us have been the same after meeting these two. Neither of them have instagram so they will not know how sappy i’m being, or how many grammatical errors i’ve made. More photos to come.

Peace Everyone, I want to thank every single person who was present for Studio Arisaema’s Grand Opening / pop up fundraiser. We raised around $800 and celebrated this new chapter for Minneapolis music, being the first and only Black trans & queer owned professional recording studio in the state. None of which would’ve been possible without those who donated their time, coin, voices, food, raffle prizes and care. Now, as Pride month comes to a close, I am here to remind you, the movement for Black trans liberation and autonomy does not end on the 30th of June. It is crucial that we cultivate spaces like Studio Arisaema that champion creative autonomy, especially within Black and trans communities. By us and for us with 0 compromises. As one might expect, being in the business of subverting the status quo in an overwhelmingly white city and state is not particularly lucrative. I’m not going to sugar coat anything. We need financial support to keep this space and all that it represents alive and WELL. White Allies to the front. Link in bio. Please spread the word far and wide. https://ko-fi.com/studioarisaema or donate directly Paypal - studioarisaema.proton.me Venmo - @/M-Jamison98 Our goal is to raise $5000 by the end of July. All funds will go towards rent/vital business expenses. Let’s go! Somebody send the link to Justin Vernon LBVVS *laughing but very very serious* 🧐 thank you thank you thank you to everyone who helped celebrate this momentous occasion. Special shoutout to my lover partner in crime and Studio Arisaema co-owner @yonci. Thank you for believing in this vision from day 0. I promise to always believe in you. music @kamillalovee @givegetsistet @jadaaminaa @yonci @m_ada_j volunteers @snacc_lavine Kaaha raffle prizes @almampls @eemanna_creates @jobannymusic food @queenfrye8 photography @yonci @bearboiphoto
